An indoor camera captured the moment a couple learned of Matthew Perry's passing -- while they were at home watching 'Friends.'

The pair can be seen sitting on their couch, watching an episode of the hit sitcom, when they began discussing what other movies and shows Matthew Perry went on to star in. That is when the female in the video picked up her phone and Googled the actor, discovering he had just passed away.

"Oh my God. He died?" she is heard saying as 'Friends' plays in the background. Monica, played by Courteney Cox, delivers her line, "What did you say?" at that same moment the female tells her husband the bad news.

"When?" he asked, to which she responded, "Now! Just now!"

On October 28, police responded to a 911 call to assist with a possible “water rescue” at Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades home. When they arrived, they found the 54-year-old “Friends” actor in the heated section of his pool, unresponsive.

An autopsy revealed that Matthew Perry died from acute effects of the drug Ketamine. Perry was utilizing Ketamine therapy at the time of his death for anxiety and depression, however, his last known treatment overseen by a medical professional was over one week before he passed, meaning the Ketamine found in his system could not have been from therapy as the drug’s half-life is only three to four hours.

Matthew Perry's Autopsy Reveals True Cause Of Death

The 54-year-old “Friends” actor was found unresponsive in the heated section of his pool on October 28.

The autopsy report stated that “drowning contributes due to the likelihood of submersion into the pool as he lapsed into unconsciousness; coronary artery disease contributes due to exacerbation of ketamine-induced myocardial effects on the heart. Buprenorphine effects are listed as contributory, even though not at toxic levels, due to the additive respiratory effects when present with high levels of ketamine.”

Ketamine is approved for use at high doses as an anesthetic in the operating room. Even though ketamine has been FDA-approved and legalized for use as a general anesthetic since the 1970s, it can be abused as a recreational drug.

Perry was reportedly “clean for 19 months,” but he was a heavy tobacco user for many years. According to his assistant, he would smoke two packs per day, but, at the time of his death, he had quit smoking.
