After originally being suspended indefinitely less than a week ago, it appears that Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green could possibly be back in action on the court in just three weeks.

NBA fans are not too thrilled hearing that news and many of them have taken to social media to voice their opinions on Green's suspension length and even compared his situation with other recent suspensions.

Last Wednesday night, the NBA suspended Green indefinitely so they could "get to the root of the problem" after Green's third ejection this season.

The NBA released a statement announcing the NBA star's suspension.

"Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended indefinitely for striking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations. This outcome takes into account Green's repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts," the statement reads.

"The incident occurred with 8:23 remaining in the third quarter of the Warriors' 119-116 loss to the Suns on Dec. 12 at Footprint Center. Green received a Flagrant Foul 2 and was ejected."

The statement released by the NBA also said that the suspension begins immediately and in order for Green to return to the court, he would need to meet certain league and team conditions.

And now just a few days later, it's been announced that he is expected to miss at least three weeks, and that he has started a counseling program.

Green's suspension came shortly after smacking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the head during a game on Dec. 12. This was Green's third ejection in 15 games this season. Before this incident, he was ejected for putting Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a chokehold on Nov. 15, as well as shoving Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell into spectators on Nov. 11.

NBA on TNT recently shared an Instagram post announcing the news that Green is "expected to miss at least 3 weeks" and fans jumped into the comments to give their thoughts.

"Draymond Green has started counseling process and is expected to remain sidelined via suspension for at least the next three weeks, per @shamsnba," the caption reads.

"This guy is a joke. There is no time basis on behavior and getting help there is no way 3 weeks can change his behavior over how many years. The problem also lays with the organization and fans that rally behind him when his actions first started!!!" one fan wrote.

Another added, "It shouldn’t be three weeks, it should be three months." And another fan wrote, "Just 3 weeks oh the nba need him huh."

And many others also felt three weeks is simply not long enough for all Green has done.

"Should be out of the NBA forever," one person wrote. "Ridiculous. I am confident if I were to scroll down I will be surprised to see anyone welcome 3 weeks? The man from vantage point is a time bomb. Just take the time to heal. I’m disappointed. Not losing any sleep over this but would rather hear he is retiring!!! At the minimum the rest of the season," said another.

One other fan said, "And the 4th week he's gonna hit someone again."

Another NBA fan pointed out the timeline for Ja Morant's suspension compared to Green's.

"No BS sideline him for the season. Ja got 25 games and no one got hurt. Draymond out here assaulting people!"
