Singer Taylor Swift may have made a lot of fans happy with her wildly successful Eras Tour, but environmentalists are still frustrated by how many carbon emissions she is putting out amid her new romance with Travis Kelce.

In the past three months alone, the "Bad Blood" singer has taken more than twelve flights to visit her new man in Kansas City and celebrate her birthday earlier this month in New York City.

Taylor was named biggest celebrity CO2 polluter of the year in 2022, and it looks she might just  take the title for a second consecutive year as she spends more time with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

According to the Daily Mail, the “Anti-Hero” singer has produced 138 tons of CO2 emissions in three months. In other words, she would need to plant more than 2,200 trees and allow them to grow for ten years to offset the damage caused by her frequent trips.

The singer has two planes: a Dassault Falcon 7x and a Dassault Falcon 900. Combined, it has been reported that she has used up over 12,622 gallons of jet fuel in order to take frequent trips to Kansas City to continue her budding romance with Travis Kelce.

These sstatistics have been tracked by Taylor Swift's Jets on Instagram, which has drawn attention to the environmental damage caused by her flights on social media.

The "Midnights" hitmaker has used up so much energy that it is the equivalent of the amount of electricity used by 17 houses in one year, or the electricity use of 26.9 homes for one year, according to the Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator.

This is not the first time that Taylor Swift has come under fire for what many have deemed an "excessive" use of carbon emissions. After the 2022 pollution rankings, Taylor's spokesperson claimed that the "Bejeweled" singer often lets other celebrities use her Falcon 7X jet for international flights.

However, in the past few months, Taylor has been using her private plane to take her on trips to Kansas City and New York City, in addition to the stops of her popular Eras Tour, which recently wrapped up in South America.

All of her trips have reportedly used up 12,622 gallons of jet fuel, which is calculated to be worth around $70,779. According to the data, the "You Belong With Me" singer's longest trip was her trip from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Kansas City with a stopover in Tampa, Florida. That flight reportedly consumed 4,151 gallons of fuel, which is believed to be wworth approximately $23, 250.

A spokesperson for the "Red" singer told the Daily Mail Taylor has been working to lessen her jets' carbon emissions by traveling less frequently than past years.

"Before the tour kicked off in March of 2023, Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel," the spokesperson said, although it's not clear if this has also covered her frequent trips to Kansas City.

The outlet previously reported that the "Ours" singer had temporarily moved into Travis Kelce's $6 million Kansas City mansion while taking a break from The Eras Tour.

A separate source told the outlet that the couple was using their new time together as a "practice run" to see if they might live together permanently in the future. That being said, it looks like Taylor will be traveling a lot more in 2024, when the international leg of The Eras Tour picks back up on February 7 in Japan.

After traveling through Asia, Europe, and Australia, Taylor Swift will return to North America later in 2024 to finish up her record-breaking tour.

In an interview with TIME Magazine for their Person of the Year issue, the "Blank Space" singer laid out the timeline of their relationship. "This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as h---," she told the publication.

"We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for because we got to get to know each other," she continued. "By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game. We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."
