'Family Matters' star Darius McCrary recently filed for a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, claiming that she might kill him. The actor stated that his ex "physically attacked him with a lead pipe and damaged his car’s glass."

She also reportedly called him a punk and is fearful that he may “end up like Phil Hartman." (Hartman was murdered by his wife Brynn Omdahl in May 1998.)

McCrary first filed a restraining order back in August 2022, however, it was not approved as the actor didn’t show up at the hearing due to being "displaced at the time, and had to flee from my ex." He also claimed that he was “ emotionally traumatized, and could not focus on work or day to day for fear.”
