Reality Star Shauna Rae Reveals New Relationship On Social Media

TLC star Shauna Rae is happily in a new relationship and she wants the world to know!

The star of TLC's "I Am Shauna Rae" recently shared a carousel of photos on social media to announce that she's been keeping a secret and is ready to spill the tea!

The 24-year-old took to Instagram to share her exciting news with her followers, and to also ask for support and "respect."

"So I’ve been keeping a secret…for a while actually. All you really need to know is they make me happy and I don’t know if I’d be as far in my goals without them. Please know that all I ask from y’all is to support me and refrain from being hateful toward them or my relationship," she wrote in the caption of her photos that conceal her new partner's face.

"Your welcome to your opinion but if it’s not supportive you can discuss elsewhere. Any hate towards my partner is hate towards me and I don’t tolerate that. I support each and every one of you and I ask for that respect back. Much love y’all! Stay amazing, beautiful, and positive!"

Shauna's snaps may hide her new partner's face, but she's certainly not hiding her happiness.  Many of her fans shared their excitement for this new chapter in her life in the comment section.

"I wanna know why someone would hate that you are happy with someone?! This is beyond exciting! I can’t wait till you’re ready or there ready for you to show the world! Congrats Shauna! You deserve to be happy love!" one person wrote.

Another added, "Yay!! Who cares what anyone thinks?? You are an adult and as long as you are happy and they treat you right that’s all that matters!!"

"Congratulations Shauna! I’m so happy you found someone who cares and loves you the way you should be loved and treated.  I love seeing a smile on your face. You so deserve it!" wrote another fan.

Earlier this year, Dan Swygart, who was featured in a few episodes of "I Am Shauna Rae," publicly explained that he and Shauna never took their relationship to the next level.

"Literally every single time I go on Facebook or YouTube all I see are videos about me and Shauna," he wrote on social media earlier this year. "Again, me and Shauna are still good friends getting to know each other."

Swygart, 27, was getting a lot of backlash for his friendship with Shauna because she appears to many as an 8-year-old child due to pituitary dwarfism, and he wanted to set the record straight.

"Hey guys, just want to say thank you so much for all the support and kind message. I really appreciate it. Me and Shauna are still just good friends getting to know each other, but I think it’s absolutely disgusting the attitude of some people," he began his response.

"She’s been through so much in life. She survived cancer as a child. She’s always been felt different and treated differently by society. But how dare you take away her right, her human right to have a connection, a friendship, a relationship with someone else. Who are you to say she that can’t have that? I’m absolutely disgusted by some people’s attitudes towards her and my friendship with her."

A few months later, Swygart once again took to social media to update fans on where the two stood as far as a relationship.

"We got very, very close on an emotional level. I mean, it never really got physical. We kissed once. Of course, I wasn’t there for long periods," he said during an episode of "The Sarah Fraser Show" podcast.

"So, it never really progressed into a relationship. I guess it got to that point where it could have been done, and then we both decided it wasn’t the right timing for us, so we didn’t go into a relationship."
