Tiffany Haddish has been officially charged with DUI following her recent arrest, where she was caught allegedly sleeping behind the wheel of her car following a night out performing at the Laugh Factory.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Haddish was charged with two misdemeanors and faces mandatory jail time if found guilty. She has since spoken out on the incident, claiming that she would be getting help.
Tiffany Haddish Faces Days In Jail If Found Guilty Of DUI
Haddish is not off the hook following her latest arrest for DUI. Last month, the comedian was arrested after Beverly Hills police received a phone call about a person asleep behind the wheel of their car while it was still turned on in the middle of the road.
Court documents show that the comedienne has officially been charged with "driving under the influence of alcohol" and "driving With .08% Blood Alcohol Content." If convicted, Haddish faces mandatory jail time of up to four days.
The incident happened in November after her performance at the Laugh Factory. Although she was not involved in an accident, an individual called the cops at around 5:45 am to report the sighting, as Haddish's car had been spotted at a halt in the middle of Beverly Drive.
This isn't Haddish's first DUI charge, as she found herself in a similar situation last year in January in Atlanta. At the time, Peachtree City police had also reportedly received a phone call about a person seen sleeping in their car.
On getting to said location, the police found Haddish driving into the neighborhood. She was charged with a DUI and improper stopping on the roadway.
The Comedienne Pledges To Get Help
Days After her arrest in November, Haddish revealed her plan to get help. During a chat with Entertainment Tonight, she revealed her intention while discussing her Thanksgiving day outing at the time. Haddish told the publication that she was giving food to underprivileged people at The Laugh Factory before commencing her Holiday Special.
Although the Girls Trip star did not directly mention her DUI arrest, she told ET that she is "going to get some help so [she] can learn balance and boundaries."
After she pledged to turn a new leaf and get help for her issues, Haddish marked her 44th birthday celebration with a grand performance. Taking to Instagram, Haddish shared a clip of herself performing one of her comedy songs to an audience while dressed in a bedazzled red outfit.

She thanked the band and the organizers who helped her organize her birthday show. Haddish also showed gratitude to the "beautiful woman in Eritrea" who created her outfit, adding, "I wish I could remember your name."
Haddish concluded her post by saying, "I keep my promises anyone that knows me knows that. It might take some time, but I always keep my promise. Just ask God."
