Kevin Costner Reportedly Has This Billionaire To Thank For Romance With Singer Jewel

Actor Kevin Costner is rumored to have found romance with singer Jewel, and it's attributed to the matchmaking efforts of none other than Richard Branson.

Costner and Jewel were first linked during the latter's fundraising event hosted on Branson's Island in the British Virgin Islands.

Following rumors of the duo's alleged romance swirling online, a new report has claimed that Costner's ex-wife finds it "bittersweet" to see the actor moving on so soon.

According to the Daily Mail, the duo's mutual friend, Billionaire Richard Branson, fully orchestrated the alleged romance between Costner and singer Jewel.

"Richard is 100 percent responsible for Kevin and Jewel hooking up. She has been a friend of Branson's for years and he has been a close friend of Kevin's since the 1990s," a source told the publication.

The insider also shared that the duo "hit it off well" at the business magnate's Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.

Jewel was holding a tennis fundraiser for the Inspiring Children Foundation on the island, and it appears that Costner was one of the many invited guests who attended the charity event.

It is also understood that the "hookup happened organically" and that Jewel "seems to be happy about it." The source added, "She is not really one for words, but her friends can see a light in her that hasn't been there in quite some time."

Pictures of Jewel and Costner have swirled online, although the "You Were Meant For Me" singer has yet to confirm whether they are in a relationship. The "Yellowstone" actor has also kept mute amid the ongoing speculations.

One of the photos captured Jewel speaking into a microphone while seemingly seated on Costner's lap. In the shot, Costner also had his arms wrapped around Jewel's waist in an affectionate way.

A second one featured her, Costner, and some other invited guests standing together in a group while posing for the camera. They were all dressed in different versions of white outfits.

"@kevincostnermodernwest was kind enough to mentor our kids this year, and Sir Richard was his usual inspiring self- who also plays a mean game of doubles!" Jewel captioned the shot as a highlight of her charity event.

Prior to being linked with Jewel, Costner was married to Christine Baumgartner up until their divorce in May," per Express.

Sources have recently claimed that Baumgartner finds it "bittersweet" to see her ex back in the dating pool so quickly after being together for 19 years.

"Christine said she's not surprised that Kevin has moved on so quickly, but he didn't need to make it so obvious by wrapping his arms around her," said an insider close to Baumgartner. "She said she's happy for him, but it still isn't a great feeling seeing your ex with someone new."

Another source said that Baumgartner feels it makes sense that her ex and Jewel were dating since they shared mutual hobbies.

The insider said, "They're both into music, into that cowboy thing. What's not to like about her [?]. At least Jewel is a down-to-earth person and has her own thing going on."

According to the court filing for their divorce, Costner and Baumgartner split up over "irreconcilable differences."

"It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired that have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action," read a statement about the duo's divorce, per the Daily Mail.

"We ask that his, Christine's, and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time."

The ex-couple shared three children during their marriage: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, and now share joint custody of the kids following their split.

In the meantime, the financial details of their divorce settlement remain unknown. However, it is believed that the now-female divorcee received $1.5 million, the amount agreed upon in the prenup, in addition to other undisclosed fees.
