Aaron Rodgers Brings Christmas Miracle, Expected To Be Medically Cleared For Dec. 24th!

Aaron Rodgers may deliver a Christmas present to New York Jets fans, as it is expected the NFL quarterback will be medically cleared to play by the holiday. 

The 40-year-old went down just three plays into his Jets season debut in September after he suffered a torn Achilles. He then underwent surgery a few days later, to fix the issue.

Since that day, he has made a remarkable recovery -- in fact, he is now expected to be cleared medically for the Jets' upcoming game on December 24!

On November 29, Rodgers was medically cleared to begin practice again, and the Jets opened up the 21-day practice window. Now, it is expected that Rodgers will be given the all-clear by medical personnel before the week 16 game on Christmas Eve, per reports.

This truly is a Christmas miracle, as a torn Achilles typically takes six to nine months to fully heal. It has only been three months since Rodgers ruptured his Achilles.

Rodgers has already been walking around without crutches for a few weeks now, and he was even spotted throwing the football around with his teammates during pre-game warm-ups. Plus, in week 10, Rodgers did say he plans to be back in “a few weeks.”

If medical personnel do clear Rodgers, it will be up to the team and the coaches to determine if the 40-year-old will actually play. If so, Rodgers will complete the fastest-recorded recovery of a ruptured Achilles.

Aaron Rodgers already made it known that he plans to play for the New York Jets again as just days after his surgery in September, he said, “I think what I’d like to say is, give me the doubts. Give me the timetables. Give me all the things that you think can, should, or will happen because all I need is that one little extra percent of inspiration. That’s all I need.”

“So give me your doubts, give me your prognostications, and then watch what I do,” Rodgers added at the time. Ever since Rodgers has been making a remarkable recovery.

When speaking on Rodgers’ rehab and recovery at the time, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said, “This isn’t so much getting ready to play as it is a progression in his rehab. … There’s certain things that he’s been cleared for that we’re going to allow him to do.”

Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley spoke out on Rodgers’ recovery, stating, “Nobody has ever seen anything like this."

"You can just look at the process and where he’s at now with the injury and just be happy for him, be glad that he’s able to walk, be glad that he’s even in this position to try to play football again, especially this early," he added.

New York Jets left guard Laken Tomlinson also spoke out recently, stating, “Just seeing Aaron this morning and actually seeing Aaron in there doing treatment — a guy who’s in there doing everything he can treatment-wise, and for me, coming in after game that we had and seeing him, how hard he’s been working, that was motivation."

In August 2023, the future Hall of Famer came to a three-year, $112.5 million deal with the New York Jets, which included $75 million in fully guaranteed money for 2023 and 2024.
