Hough took to Instagram to release a statement addressing Erbert's health condition. "At the end of last night's tour performance in Washington, D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital," he began.
The famed DWTS choreographer continued, "She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. She is in stable condition. I want to thank the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for and continue to care for her."
Hough ended his statement, asking fans and colleagues for "prayers and positivity" during the difficult time. Erbert is currently on the Symphony of Dance tour which kicked off on Sept. 28. It's unsure if the upcoming dates will be postponed because of her condition.
In no time, many of Hough's "DWTS" family members camped in the comments section to share their well-wishes. Jenna Johnson wrote, "Praying and sending all our love your way. We love you Hayley, ♥️" while Emma Slater penned, "Omg Derek, thinking of you guys right now. Sending Hayley so much love and healing light."
His fellow judge Carrie Inn Anaba added, "Sending you and Hayley all my prayers and love," while Alison Holker added, "I am sending all of my love, healing, and prayers!"
"DWTS" host Alfonso Ribeiro wrote, "Sending you all the love I have in my soul. Prayers for a speedy recovery." This season winner Xochitl Gomez also commented, "Focusing all my positivity and well wishes directly toward Hayley. She is a shining light 🤍."

Erbert's health scare comes almost four months after she and Hough took their relationship of almost eight years to a new level. The dancing lovebirds walked down the aisle in a regal, intimate ceremony held in Monterey County, California, in front of 106 guests.
The duo exchanged vows in a redwood forest-themed ceremony which had a sentimental meaning to their love. "We're in a redwood forest, but we got married right in front of this mother tree that's surrounded by all these smaller trees," Erbert shared in an interview.
She continued, "They drop all the seeds, and it plants kind of like an army of children to protect the mother. The symbolism of it was beautiful. We're here, planting our seeds to grow our family."
For her special day, the "Kiss the Girl" star took breaths away in a custom duchess satin gown designed by Georgina Chapman from Marchesa, which she paired with a long veil.
Hough, on the other hand, opted for a black suit by Tom Ford for the ceremony and Brooks Brothers for the reception. The couple's wedding bands were custom-made from Paris Jewellers.
Inside Derek Hough & Hayley Erbert's Relationship
Hough and Erbert first crossed paths in 2014 when he and his sister Julianne Hough hired her to join them on tour. By 2015, the Kansas native joined the "Dancing with the Stars" family as a troupe member, making her closer to the "World of Dance" judge.

However, it wasn't until November 2016 that Derek confirmed that he was dating someone, but didn't reveal her identity. The lovebirds finally went Instagram official in May 2017 with a throwback picture from a dance session.
Almost a year after going official, the pair encountered their first tragedy as a couple when Erbert and several members of the "DWTS" team got involved in a bush crash. Luckily, Erbert was unharmed. Hough opened up about the incident on social media writing,
"I'm so thankful my love is safe. To my DWTS family. I love you all and I am so glad you are all safe after such a terrible accident. Be strong, be safe and I will see you very soon."
After seven years of dating, the 38-year-old dancer finally popped the big question to Erbert in June 2022. "It's only the beginning…the beginning of forever ♥️," Hough captioned the engagement announcement.
