'Sister Wives' Fans Quiz Meri Brown About 'Misdirecting Anger At Christine'

The drama surrounding Meri Brown's ring situation continues, with fans weighing in on the heated topic!

Viewers of TLC's "Sister Wives" series called out the bed and breakfast inn owner on social media following her frustrated reaction to the revelation of her melted wedding ring. 

The tea was spilled by former wife Christine Brown, who Meri believes should have never butted in on her issues with their mutual ex-husband, Kody Brown.

In her One-on-One special with Sukanya Krishnan, Christine confessed to being uncertain if it was her place to share what happened to the wedding ring Kody and Meri once had. However, the mother of six still shared the story, causing her "Sister Wives" co-star to bash her for intruding on her privacy.

While the hospitality business owner believes she has every right to be upset about Christine's actions, fans of the TLC series beg to differ. These viewers shared their opinions in the comments section of the TV personality's "Friday With Friends" segment on Instagram.

Many noted the tensions between the former wives were unnecessary and urged Meri to direct her anger at the man responsible for melting her wedding ring. One user called out the Lizzie's Heritage Inn founder's faults, writing:

"Misdirecting anger at Christine isn't going to help anything. Everyone in the family at that point was involved in the situation around the ring... even if it was specifically affecting you the most... the person to blame is the person who created that situation at all, and that certainly wasn't Christine."

Another viewer echoed similar sentiments about Meri's misplaced anger, ranting: "It's unbelievable to me that you're mad at Christine for mentioning the story, and yet you kissed Kody's a-- for 10 more years, and he's the one that melted your ring down... point your anger towards the correct person yourself and Kody. You get mad at the stupidest things."

"Ok– I never respond to anything online, but the anger in your face at Christine was out of control. Christine was asked about the rings and told the truth! After everything that has taken place, this is what makes you turn red with anger?" A third commenter wondered, adding:

"Christine was asked and was honest. You need to relax and realize Kody is the one you should be mad at. I don't understand your displaced anger. It's odd. I wish you the best; this is nuts!"

"Wildly displaced anger at Christine (instead of Kody) over the ring situation. At this point, get over it or girl, see a therapist," someone advised, with another Christine supporter chiming: "Kody did you dirty, not Christine. Stop protecting him! He is the one who said he never loved you."

Despite the general cries for Meri to realize she needs to hold Kody accountable for the drama instead of Christine, one fan understood the inn owner's perspective. This individual noted the way the story was revealed wasn't right but did not support Meri's anger. The commenter wrote:

"Christine shouldn't have told your story, Meri & I'm sorry for that; however, you can't expect anything less from a person you attacked/didn't support for leaving a man that clearly didn't love her. Only to face the same reality yourself."

Not everyone shared this viewer's thoughts, as one social media user claimed Meri was the first to share the ring story. The fan alleged, "It's old news, Meri. You told your fake lover the ring story first. You're just hurt it was brought up in the tell-all."

The drama began on the latest episode of the TLC show's "One-on-One" special with Sukanya Krishnan, where Christine shared Meri's reaction to Kody melting their wedding ring. Recalling what happened, the mother of six said:

"Well, Meri found out, she's like, 'Well, where's my ring? You don't wear it anymore. He's like, 'Oh, I melted it down,' just like that."

Christine added that Kody's "hurtful" decision led them (all the wives) to buy the family's Claddagh rings together, an accessory symbolizing love, loyalty, and friendship. As stated, Meri disliked her co-star's input on her private matters and berated the Plexus influencer in her one-on-one session.

"She can laugh about it all she wants, but it was not her business to tell. If I wanted to have shared that story in the last 13 years in a public way, I would have done that," the mother of one wailed, visibly upset about Christine's nonchalant recollection.

Additionally, Meri linked the ring melting moment to the end of her marriage to Kody, adding, "Who's to say that he didn't just melt down our whole relationship at that moment? Symbolically, that's what he did to me."
