Pop star Britney Spears is reuniting with her mother, Lynne Spears, and her brother, Bryan Spears, for her birthday.

On Friday night, the pop star was at the home of her longtime friend and manager, Cade Hudson, to celebrate her big day when the group had to rush to a 24-hour vet clinic due to a medical emergency involving Britney's dog.

Shortly after Lynne Spears was seen shopping at Dollar General in Kentwood, Louisiana, she headed out to Los Angeles, California, in order to help Britney celebrate her 42nd birthday on Saturday, December 2.

“Being together and celebrating her birthday was a really nice moment for the family," a source told People magazine on Saturday night.

Many fans were surprised to learn that Lynne was in attendance, as it was believed that there was bad blood between the two following the release of Britney's memoir - "The Woman In Me" - on October 24.

In her book, Britney explained how she visited her family in Louisiana during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. While she was there, she learned that several priceless items had been thrown away, leading her to find "peace" in the decision to part ways with her estranged family.

Lynne Spears Reaches Out To Her Daughter Over Instagram

While the "Toxic" singer was in a mental health facility in 2019, she stored some important items at her mother's house. In her memoir, she claimed that several beloved childhood items had been "thrown away," including her beloved Madame Alexander doll collection, which she received as a child.

Britney also claimed that several years’ “worth of [her] writing” and “binders” of poetry had been tossed out as well, which is what led to her decision to separate herself from her family once and for all. However, on November 9, Lynne shared photos of a black journal and several different dolls, insisting that she had not thrown anything away.

"I'm not sure who told you I got rid of your dolls and journals but I would never do that! That would be cruel because I know how much they mean to you. They are special to me too because of the years we spent collecting them," Lynne wrote in the caption. "Of course, I still have your things, and I am happy to send them to you if you'd like me to. Please let me know and know how much I love you!"

Britney Spears Responds To Her Mother On Instagram

A few days later, on November 11, the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer responded to her mother's comments at the bottom of an Instagram post that was largely focused around the first time that she met "Shake It Off" singer Taylor Swift.

"Ps mom I love you so so much, but there were 3 dolls in the cabinets when I went home 2 years ago … kinda really weird you would take them out and then put them back in … so messed up," Britney wrote. "Nope, I don't want them. Keep it all. I honestly don't care anymore … honestly though."

Although Lynne did not respond to her daughter, she did share a follow-up post to respond to accusations that she sold Britney's belongings.

Lynne Spears Denies Selling Britney's Clothing

Shortly after posting photos of the doll collection, sources told the Daily Mail that Lynne had started selling Britney’s clothing in 2019 at Connie's Jewelry and Gifts in Kentwood, Louisiana, which is owned by the family of Britney’s childhood friend, Cortney Brabham.

One insider claimed that Lynne has “easily made thousands of dollars in profit” and that Britney Spears has “no clue” that her mother is selling her clothes. It is worth noting that the Princess of Pop still has not responded to allegations that her mother has been selling her old clothing, including her 2011 Femme Fatale white satin jacket.

“I would never sell my daughter's things. Get your facts straight @dailymail,” Lynne wrote in the caption of another post that showed the jacket in question.
