'Golden Bachelor' Gerry Turner Accused Of Lying About Past Relationships

"The Golden Bachelor" star Gerry Turner is under fire after an ex of his came out and accused Turner of lying about past relationships.

The 72-year-old claimed he hadn’t been kissed since his wife, Toni, passed away in 2017, but a woman, who went by Carolyn in a recent interview to keep her anonymity, stated that she was shocked to find out Turner was looking for love on national television.

She then alleged that she dated the 72-year-old reality television star for three years, which began just one month after Toni passed away.

The woman, who claims to be Turner's ex, says she and Gerry Turner met when she was working as a staff accountant at the mental health center where the 72-year-old worked as a maintenance man. She also stated that Turner is using a lot of pick-up lines on the women on the show that he used on her years ago.

For example, Turner allegedly texted Carolyn in 2017, per The Hollywood Reporter, “Damn, I go to bed at night thinking of you and wake up in the morning thinking of you.”

On a recent episode of the reality show, Turner said something similar to fitness instructor Leslie, who is one of his two finalists. “I have to have you with my morning coffee, I have to have you when I go to bed at night," he told her while they were in Costa Rica.

Carolyn then claimed that she and Turner dated for 10 months before they moved in together in 2018 -- just months after his wife, Toni, passed. According to Carolyn, she said that Turner began showing a different side of him, demanding she pay $850 a month to cover her expenses. He also said that they needed to split the cost of all meals.

“At restaurants, Carolyn paid her half in advance, and then when the check came, Gerry paid the whole tab, like the big man,” the outlet stated.

But the moment Carolyn had had enough was when he commented on her weight in October 2019. Carolyn claims she was getting ready to go to Turner's high school reunion with him, but he told her he could not take her "looking like that," apparently referring to her weight gain.

That’s when they called it quits.

Gerry Turner is a retired restaurateur and loving father and grandfather, who lives in his dream house on a beautiful lake in Indiana. According to an ABC press release, "He’s often busy hosting barbecues, playing pickleball, cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams, four-wheeling, and spending time with friends and family at restaurants and local haunts.”

Ahead of "The Golden Bachelor" premiere, Turner stated, “I want to enjoy every moment. I want to be able to make a mental note or write in a log book at night some of the high points of the day, and remember those moments. And if I can do that, it will be pretty fun.”

"The Golden Bachelor" airs on ABC on Thursday nights.
