Actress Jamie Lynn Spears recalled what it was like growing up around rising stars like Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling, who were costars alongside her older sister, pop star Britney Spears, on “The Mickey Mouse Club.”
In a recent episode of “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”, the “Sweet Magnolias” actress shared a little bit more about her upbringing with some of the famous faces that she met through her older sister.

The 32-year-old actress shared some more details about her life in a new episode of the British reality TV series “I’m A Celebrity!... Get Me Out Of Here.” When talking about Britney’s childhood in “The Mickey Mouse Club,” Jamie Lynn opened up on her experience with the “Barbie” actor.
“He's a lovely person in real life. When I was younger I grew up around him because he was on The Mickey Mouse Club with my sister,” she recalled in comments transcribed by the Daily Mail. “Him, my sister, Justin [Timberlake], Christina [Aguilera]… all of them were on The Mickey Mouse Club. Justin and JC [from NSYNC].”
Although fans of the pop star probably knew this, her campmates were shocked to discover that Jamie Lynn actually lived at Disney World for a while. “We lived at Disney World for a couple of summers,” Jamie Lynn recalled, prompting campmate Josie Gibson to ask, “You lived at Disney work?”
The “Zoey 101” star explained that she lived there when she was only 3-4 years old but still caused some trouble on the Disney set. “I was like 3 or 4 and I was causing h---. I was really bad. They want to make a good impression, I'm in a little dress, I'm there at the stage, on my mama's hip,” she explained, recalling how she farted when Britney introduced her as her little sister.
“They were like, ‘It never mattered where we were, you always said something to make everyone uncomfortable,’” Jamie Lynn recalled, adding, “I think it's something I still do now. As a child, you don't know how to filter yourself. And now I know how to be direct, but with a filter, if that makes any sense. But as a kid, I was just very direct with no filter.”
She Thinks Britney Is Worried About Her Competing On 'I'm A Celebrity'
During another episode of the British reality show, the 32-year-old actress told Radio DJ Sam Thompson that Britney, 41, would “be worried” about her competing in the Australian outback.
“I think she’s probably checking in on me heavily,” Jamie Lynn said. “I do think she’s probably like, ‘Why would she do that?’ She asked me that before I came here, she was like, ‘You’re really going to do it?’ I was like, ‘I’m going to go to Australia and check it out.’ ”
“She’d probably be like, ‘Y’all get her the f— out of there, right now!’ ” she joked. Although the two have had a difficult relationship throughout the years, Jamie Lynn insisted that Britney is a “good big sister” to her, adding, “I love her. Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, family’s fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.”
Sam, 31, agreed, adding, “Everyone’s got stuff they argue about all the time.” Jamie Lynn agreed, reminding him, “Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing.”
“We’ve had very complicated circumstances and we both had to deal with them in different ways. Sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have,” she continued. “I’ve been the one person in her life — and she can say this — I’ve never taken anything from her, you know? I’ve been the one person in her life who’s always said, ‘I just want to be your sister.’ ”
“We just had a really weird life so we can’t explain it to many people, but at the end of the road I know that that’s my family, I love them,” she added.
She also told TV presenter Fred Sirieix that she remembered looking up to her older sister from a young age. “Anything my sister did I always thought was the best,” she said. “When it came to my sister, even if I felt anything if anyone said anything I was ready to go. I was like, ‘Don’t talk about my sister, she’s the best.’”
