'Sister Wives' Fans Slam Show's Interviewer For Letting Kody 'Get Away With Murder'

The "Sister Wives" universe is buzzing as fans are not holding back when expressing their discontent after watching a clip of the latest cast interview. The uproar stems from where Kody Brown, the patriarch of the plural marriage, is accused of "getting away with murder" by fervent followers.

However, it is not just him in the hot seat this time; it is the interviewer, Sukanya Krishnan, who is facing the wrath of dedicated enthusiasts for allegedly letting the polygamous husband slip through the cracks of hard-hitting questions.

Krishnan, a familiar face in the hosting arena for TLC's "Sister Wives" reunion episodes, was under fire for what some viewers perceive as a lenient approach during Season 18's Tell-All. 

In the short clip shared on TLC's Instagram page, Krishnan interviewed Kody and his ex, Janelle Brown. However, her perceived leniency with the patriarch ignited a social media storm. 

Unimpressed by her line of questioning, fans took to the comments to voice their discontent, with some demanding a new host altogether. One fan exclaimed, "Why didn't they get Dr Phil to do this sit down because this women let's kody get away with murder," while another echoed the sentiment, stating:

"I would pay money to see Dr Phil question Kody. Someone that wouldn't let him deflect and lay blame everywhere else other than with himself."

Amidst the backlash, Krishnan tried to defend her interviewing style. Responding to a comment accusing her of letting Kody "get away with murder," she asserted, "Respectfully think you are hearing more than you ever have. I try to be fair. Just watch it. And the. We can discuss."

Refusing to accept her explanation, others came for the journalist with scathing observations like, "This interviewer is useless. She drags nothing new out of anyone and just lets Kody run things. ??," and "I hate they used the same host. She lets Kody get away with lying and blaming everyone else.' 

Meanwhile, the Tell-All teaser offered a glimpse into Janelle's reaction to Kody's previous comments about their relationship. At the time, the 54-year-old felt, "So, Janelle is not in love with me. I think she thinks I'm hot, I got nice pecs and a great six-pack abs, but that's all she's interested in."  

In a humorous exchange with Krishnan, the TV personality dismissed her ex's emphasis on physical attraction, emphasizing the importance of emotional connection in a marriage. In her own words, "God, could you believe that? There's so much more to a marriage than that! I don't know, like, he loves his pecs so much. They're great, but it's not what it's about for me. It's about emotional connection for me."

As for Kody, after reviewing the footage of himself discussing his physique, he pointed out that the camera crew had "missed something." He elaborated, saying, "The great pecs and the six-pack abs was all about the fact that Janelle has always seen me as a physical specimen and as a resource and not ever really dove into my humanity."

When pressed by Krishnan for clarification on the term "humanity," he candidly admitted, "I felt like a piece of meat."

In response, fans expressed their thoughts about Kody's opinions, and the consensus was one of disbelief and disappointment. Many even pointed out what they perceived as narcissistic tendencies, with one follower remarking, "Wow, the narcissism. It's unbelievable. Im so glad the smart ones finally left." 

Janelle's reaction to his statements did not go unnoticed either, as one viewer humorously noted, "The way Janelle cracks up at his stupidity and narcissistic ways kills me! ?????? ?."

However, the gravity of the author's words did not escape the fans, with several expressing concern about the impact on his children and their mothers. One cybernaut condemned his behavior, stating, "His words are so hurtful to his children and their mother. He has zero respect for the concept of family. Disgusting behavior."

The intricate dynamics of his relationships were laid bare in the first episode of the new season's "Sister Wives One-on-One" special, where he candidly shared that the only wife left was the one who gave him butterflies. 

Despite being previously married to Meri, Christine, and Janelle Brown before Robyn, Kody dropped the bombshell, confessing, "I fell in love with Robyn, i never fell in love with anybody else. I was just choosing to be in that covenant of love with them." 

He also detailed the profound impact of meeting the 45-year-old, describing a sense of safety and vulnerability that he had never experienced before. He emotionally recalled:

"I met Robyn, and there was a safety and a vulnerability that I had never experienced in my life. And I met her and I started weeping for joy and didn't stop for months." 

He also did not shy away from expressing his guilt about not feeling the same emotion for his other three ex-wives. He acknowledged that polygamy was an "institutionally unfair lifestyle" but maintained that the women were not forced into the marriage.
