According to TMZ, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who currently reside in Montecito up the coast, are considering a relocation closer to the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, with Los Angeles in their sights.

However, they reportedly have yet to visit any houses, except the $8 million land plot in Malibu that they checked out in September but eventually passed on.

Having previously resided in Los Angeles, Meghan and Harry briefly lived in Tyler Perry's Beverly Ridge Estates mansion in 2020, enjoying relative anonymity.

Their positive experience at Perry's place was highlighted in their docuseries, with Harry sharing that they enjoyed "bliss because no one knew we were there ... We were there for six weeks, and no one knew. My family still thought I was in Canada."

However, the media eventually discovered Meghan and Harry's residence, prompting Perry to take measures to enhance security against the unprecedented media attention, including installing a fence to deter paparazzi from capturing photos.

In a surprising revelation from Harry and Meghan's biographer, Omid Scobi's latest book, "Endgame," an excerpt in The Telegraph details the events leading to Meghan and Prince Harry's eviction from Frogmore Cottage, and contrary to popular belief, the eviction was allegedly not solely King Charles's decision.

Princess Anne, Harry's aunt, reportedly played a pivotal role in persuading the monarch to retract the residence's use for the non-working royal couple. Scobie claims that Princess Anne advocated for a "firm approach," while Prince Edward felt uneasy about the Palace's decision.

The Sussexes, shocked by the news, received a letter from Sir Michael John Stevens, urging them to return the keys to the cottage, which was a wedding gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Following this, Harry reportedly called his father, asking about his decision, and, in a tense exchange, questioned his father's desire to see his grandchildren. Charles responded with silence but later assured Harry that his family would always have "somewhere" to stay when visiting the U.K.

In the book excerpts, Scobie, dubbed "Meghan's mouthpiece," also suggested that Prince William "prioritized loyalty to the monarchy" over his brother Harry, allegedly leaking information to undermine Meghan and Harry.

However, friends of the Prince of Wales strongly denounced the claims, calling them outrageous and expressing frustration over Scobie's portrayal of the future king.

Supporters defended William, emphasizing that he has "always been very tight-lipped when it comes to his family and made clear to anyone within his orbit that he would not do 'deals' with the media."

The insider added: "Like Harry, he is scarred by his childhood experiences, seeing his mother and father engaged in what was dubbed 'the war of the Wales.' He never wanted history to repeat itself. That was something that he and Harry were meant to be united on."

Another supporter criticized Scobie for presenting conspiracy theories as fact, stating: "It's one thing writing a critique of the Royal Family. That's freedom of expression. But it's another thing to peddle conspiracy theories dressed up as fact. The suggestion that [royal aides] were briefing negative stories [about Harry and Meghan] is totally fabricated. It just didn't happen."

"The truth is that everyone was walking on eggshells practically from the engagement trying to keep them happy," they added, per Daily Mail.
