The actor recently settled his "Yellowstone" dispute following his nasty divorce from ex-wife Christine Baumgartner.
Kevin Costner Spotted At Branson's Island
Following his highly publicized divorce from his ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, the "Dances with Wolves" star turned to the world of sports to relax as he participated in what's being dubbed as the "world's most exclusive pro-am tennis event."
The Necker Cup, hosted on the luxurious Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, is owned by British business magnate Richard Branson and has become a magnet for celebrities and sports enthusiasts like Costner.
According to Page Six sources, the actor made sure to get in the groove as he talked "to other guests about his upcoming movie projects, and he even screened part of his latest movie," adding that Costner was "So nice."
He Participated In Several Activities At The Event
The actor was also seen participating in all the activities that took place around the tennis tourney and attended an evening dinner alongside other A-list stars like Michael Bolton, Jewel, Emma Watson, and tennis legends Genie Bouchard and Mike Bryan.
Scuba diving, sailing, and a game of tennis were part of the games Costner played with the Page Six source, noting that Branson was "the epitome of the ultimate host" as he took a team on a catamaran race and marveled guests with his windsurfing prowess.
The "pro-am" format of the tournament means that professional players will team up with enthusiastic amateurs, offering a blend of skill and star power. The event reportedly cost around $100,000 per guest, who also partook in a game of pickleball and attended the famed "End of the World Party."
Kevin Costner's Split From Wife Of 19 Years
"The Bodyguard" star's appearance at the event comes after news of his split from his ex-wife, Baumgartner, after 19 years of marriage that produced three children.
"It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action," a representative for Costner told People magazine at the time.
"We ask that his, Christine's, and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time," the rep added.
The estranged couple recently settled their divorce terms after being embroiled in a months-long battle over child support and issues bordering Baumgartner's exit from their house and allegations that she cleared out their home of valuables before she moved out.
"Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings," a representative for the actor shared in a joint statement from the former couple.
"Kevin is relieved that this matter has been settled and will continue to focus solely on jointly raising their three children," a source told People.
Kevin Costner And Reese Witherspoon Romance Rumors
Rumors of a budding romance between actress Reese Witherspoon and Costner began to make the rounds on social media after they both separated from their respective partners.
Witherspoon was previously married to ex-husband Jim Toth but announced their breakup in a statement on March 24, and she officially filed for divorce on March 30 before settling by August.
However, those reports of a budding romance between the Hollywood stars were swiftly put to rest after the actress's representative clarified that there was no truth to the speculations, emphasizing that the two actors are not romantically involved following their respective divorces.
"This story is completely fabricated and not true," the rep told People magazine.
Meanwhile, Costner's ex-wife Baumgartner dispelled speculations that she and the actor may become "friends with benefits."
"Christine said there is not a blip of truth about her and Kevin toying with the idea of being friends with benefits. First off, they barely speak to each other, and secondly, she's moved on," a source told the Daily Mail.
