Forgive and forget? No, Kourtney Kardashian is all about forgiveness and setting boundaries!
The oldest of the Kardashian siblings recently called out her family for easily accepting the wrongdoings of the men in their lives instead of creating clear guidelines on how they would like to be treated.
The 44-year-old’s words came amid Tristan Thompson‘s apologies for repeatedly cheating on her sister Khloé Kardashian. While the mother-of-four condemned the NBA star’s actions, she was more concerned about the impacts of her family’s unhealthy tradition with men on her daughter.
Kourtney Kardashian Worries Family’s Lack Of Boundaries Will Affect Her Daughter Penelope
This week’s episode of Hulu’s hit series “The Kardashians” captured the conclusion of the Poosh founder’s heart-to-heart conversation with Thompson. While the basketball player tried to win back Kourtney’s favor with remorse over his past infidelities, the Los Angeles native was not easily convinced.
Well known for her sharp tongue and brutally honest persona, the entrepreneur lashed out at the athlete for being undeserving of Khloé and enjoying a boundary-free space in her life.
The reality TV star stressed that the men in her family are “so lucky” because her mother and sisters prioritized being “one big happy family” over setting boundaries and having each other’s backs.

She found it “interesting” that the KarJenner clan focused more on the superficial side of things instead of ensuring the affected person, Khloé, is doing okay. “We can make sure Khloé looks her best, she’s dressed up, she feels good, she’s in glam, takes good photos, we can do all that,” the entertainer said, adding:
“But really making sure the person feels supported, stood up for, sets the boundaries they need to set and is supported in that, ’cause in this family, it’s not. Like I said, it’s lucky for you guys. And it is great for the kids, but then it is also, like…”
With four children to care for, the TV personality stressed in her confessional that she did not want her kids, especially her daughter, to be influenced by the KarJenner clan’s lack of boundaries.
“I’m not here to hold a grudge; I think that was the point in having the conversation. I do believe that people can grow. It was interesting to me, the work that he’s doing and the path that he’s on because when your words don’t match your actions, it’s concerning,” the 44-year-old noted about Thompson before expressing dislike for her family’s ways. In the socialite’s words:
“Talk is cheap. In our family, everyone can continue to normalize the behaviors of some of the men in our lives, and I don’t want to show my daughter that that’s okay. I think having forgiveness and giving grace. I think is right, but also having really clear boundaries, I think is really important.”
As for the Cleveland Cavaliers star, he told Kourtney he was ashamed of his past self but proud of who he is becoming. Given his efforts to change and fix his mistakes, Thompson hopes to spend the rest of his life with Khloé and their two children — daughter True and son Tatum.
The Lemme Brand Founder Misses The Person She Used To Be Before Therapy
Days before the conclusion of her discussion with the Canadian athlete, Kourtney reflected on the woman she used to be before therapy. The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” alum confessed she missed the days when she could freely be the “no feelings b—” version of herself.
The mother of four said, “I miss the ‘no f—s given’ vibe,” but noted she was a much better person thanks to therapy. The changes she has experienced since receiving help were so profound the reality TV star became an advocate for seeking professional advice in her family. In the entertainer’s words:
“I’ve definitely talked about it for years with my family because I really do find it so helpful. But I also don’t want to push it. You can give them the information, but then it’s their journey.”
Therapy might have played a part in Kourtney’s improved relationship with her sister, Kim Kardashian. After months of going at each other with heated words, the oldest of the brood took the first step in mending their broken bridges.
“Kourtney messaged me. She sent this picture of my dad in college. So Kourtney texts me, and I feel like it is a step in the right direction of moving past it and moving past all of the drama. I want her here,” Kim revealed in an October episode of “The Kardashian” series.
