President Joe Biden Faces Major Backlash Over Thanksgiving Turkey Tradition

President Joe Biden is facing backlash once again, this time for a post he put up about Thanksgiving turkeys.

The 81-year-old shared a Thanksgiving photo of him alongside a turkey, which is a staple food of the holiday -- however, fans are attacking the President for the social media post.

Of course, this is a White House tradition during the holidays, but this year people just aren't feeling it.

The President of the United States took to social media to share his Thanksgiving post. "Even though our Thanksgiving turkeys Liberty and Bell are from Minnesota – they’re named after the famous Liberty Bell in Pennsylvania," Biden wrote in the post before adding, "And today, they have a new appreciation for the words 'Let Freedom Ring'."

The post included a photo of Biden with a turkey in Minnesota, with a sign that read "Happy Thanksgiving 2023."

Social media users instantly slammed the President of the United States for not having his priorities straight as the war in Israel continues. Users wrote things such as "Traditions like pardoning the turkey feel - and I cannot stress this point enough - completely pointless, especially when you are condoning a literal genocide?!?" and "Stop killing civilians, children, journalists and doctors in Gaza."

That user then added, "We know the atrocities are even worse in the North now that no one can report on it. Israel went from saying they don’t bomb hospitals to bombing all of them in the North, on top of UN schools - killing children and elderly as they are sleeping. Where is your humanity?"

Other users continued to slam the President of the United States as they said, "Wow good job saving those turkeys. How about you stop what's going on in Gaza? Or are the lives of turkeys worth more?"

"Who cares about what turkeys you guys are eating for Thanksgiving?? You won't listen to the people who elected you to lead them," another user wrote in the comments section, adding, "We're funding genocide in Palestine while also ATTEMPTING to get supplies in, funding Ukraine, and somehow not funding the people living in the US and instead are taking more and more money from taxes every year. The fact that you care more about the turkeys than your citizens really says something about you."

The comments continued to pour in on Biden's social media post, which can be seen above, as users wrote things such as "You’ll pardon the Turkey but no such luck for the kids on Gaza…. ?" and "we literally don’t care just free Palestine ??????."

Another wrote, "How about you pardon the Palestinians with a ceasefire? Crazy thought, I know."

As one user expressed, "Again, you’re about to lose reelection. No one gives a s--- about Thanksgiving when innocent people are being killed in Gaza who have nothing to eat."

"Apparently you value Turkey lives more than Palestinians. Ceasefire NOW," another social media user wrote.

And one social media user commented, "All we care about is the Palestinian civilians. That’s it."
