Diddyhas settled the sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by ex-girlfriend and singer Cassie, just hours after she made the accusations.

According to a statement from Cassie's lawyers, obtained by The Blast, the singer has "resolved" all claims with the Hip-Hop mogul.

"This evening, Ms. Ventura and Mr. Combs resolved the claims that she filed against him yesterday in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York to their mutual satisfaction," Cassie's legal team wrote. Her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor added, "I am very proud of Ms. Ventura for having the strength to go public with her lawsuit.  She ought to be commended for doing so."

Cassie -- real name Casandra Ventura -- broke her silence on the situation, saying, "I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control.  I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.

Interestingly, the settlement included a comment from Diddy -- aka Sean Combs, which read, "We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love."

The settlement comes just hours after the singer filed an explosive lawsuit against the founder of Bad Boy Records, accusing him of domestic violence, rape, and sex trafficking.

At this point, it's unclear how much money changed hands -- but, it's been reported that the initial asking price was in the eight figures. We are guessing the decision became much easier after it was reported by the NYPD that a criminal case had been filed against Diddy. As we reported, the Police Department walked back the statement saying it was erroneously confirmed to reporters by their public information office.

Initially, Cassie opened up about filing the case, saying, "After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.

In the lawsuit, the singer recalled one violent incident when speaking “to another music manager at a party in Los Angeles, he became enraged. She had hoped speaking to this manager would allow her to further grow her career, and that Mr. Combs would be happy for her, but instead he became extremely angry and pulled her out of the club where the party was taking place. In the car leaving the club, Mr. Combs beat Ms. Ventura, pushing her into a corner of the vehicle and stomping on her face.”

Adding, “When the car arrived at Mr. Combs’ residence, Ms. Ventura attempted to run away, but Mr. Combs followed her and proceeded to again kick her in the face. Ms. Ventura was bleeding profusely and was ushered into Mr. Combs’ home, where she began to throw up from the violent assault."

In other instances, Cassie claims the rapper brought “sex workers” into the relationship. Also, she claimed the couple ingested a large amount of drugs during the encounters. "Mr. Combs always supplied Ms. Ventura (and the sex worker) with copious amounts of drugs before and during the (the incidents) Ms. Ventura was given ecstasy, cocaine, GHB, ketamine, marijuana, and alcohol in excessive amounts…which allowed her to disassociate during these horrific encounters."
