David Schwimmer has broken his silence on the Matthew Perry weeks after he passed away. The "Friends" star shared one of his favorite moments with the late actor.

Weeks after Perry passed away, Schwimmer has taken to social media to pay respect to his late co-star.

David Schwimmer Releases Statement Following Matthew Perry's Death

"Matty, Thank you for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity," Swimmer began to write on social media alongside a photo of him and Perry from "Friends".

"I will never forget your impeccable comic timing and delivery. You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes," he continued, adding, "And you had heart. Which you were generous with, and shared with us, so we could create a family out of six strangers."

He then went on to describe why he chose this photo for his tribute to the late actor. "This photo is from one of my favorite moments with you. Now it makes me smile and grieve at the same time."

Schwimmer concluded with, "I imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around— 'Could there BE any more clouds?'"

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Matt LeBlanc have also released statements following Perry's death. Lisa Kudrow is the only one of the five remaining "Friends" who has yet to speak out.

As previously reported, police responded to a 911 call to assist with a possible ‘water rescue’ at Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades home. When the first responders arrived, they reportedly found the 54-year-old “Friends” actor in his hot tub, unresponsive.

He is believed to have drowned, but an autopsy and toxicology reports will be able to answer more questions about his true cause of death. Prescription anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications were reportedly found in Matthew Perry‘s home following his tragic death, although sources say that no illegal narcotics were discovered at the scene.

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer were all seen at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills neighborhood for Perry’s memorial one week after he was found in his hot tub, unresponsive.

Days after learning of Perry's death, the main cast of "Friends" released a joint statement after they learned of Perry’s passing.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” their statement read. “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”

“In time we will say more, as and when we are able,” the statement from the “Friends” continued. “For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
