After weeks of going off the radar amid the war, the mother-of-one clarified her stance on her Instagram Story. She started off by admitting it may have been cowardly of her to have stayed quiet all this time, especially after her "supremely vocal support of the Palestinian people the past few years."

Halsey continued by disclosing that she is "truthfully, exceptionally anxious about navigating my responsibility as a career activist as it pertains to my daily life off of social media: Being the mother of a small child and a member of my community, in addition to the contribution of my greater voice and platform."

The "Eastside" singer added that the global conversation has peaked violently, and she is having difficulty processing events that have unfolded online and offline.

The happenings made her more security conscious and influenced her decision to protect her family from people who plan to harm her due to her different opinions.

She continued to say that her situation should not have stopped her from "vocalizing support for families enduring far worse violence," adding that:

"Families caught between the brawling hands of a militarized government and a terrorist organization, and the diaspora of both parties trying to get through each and every day."

Halsey expressed her regret and reaffirmed her stance regarding the liberation of the Palestinian people, adding that she is making substantial donations to relief and support organizations.

"My politics are uncomplicated and remain unchanged. I condemn any organized body of power unleashing acts of violence against innocent civilians. The rise of Antisemitism and Islamophobia is undeniable. I stand against hate speech in all forms. I stand for freedom and the right to live safely," concluded the award-winning singer in her statement.

The "Sorry" singer has been condemned along with Rihanna for sharing their opinion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict back in 2021. Halsey tweeted:

"It is not 'too complicated to understand' that brown children are being murdered + people are being displaced under the occupation of one of the most powerful armies in the world. It is wilful ignorance to conflate these simple horrors with religion + geopolitics."

Halsey's comment upset people who felt she was being spitefully neutral, and she quickly clarified that her tweet was meant for her "peers and the white Americans who don't concern themselves with Middle Eastern crises because they don't care about what happens to people of color."

She apologized for not making the target of her tweet more clear as she further condemned those who write the crisis off as "too complicated."

As reported by The Blast, the "We Don't Talk Anymore" star released a statement via her beauty brand "Rare Beauty" on their plans to support Palestine financially, adding that they were disturbed by the reports coming from the region saying:

"A large number of these victims are children. Palestinian civilians must be protected, period."

She also commiserated with Israeli citizens, writing, "We remain heartbroken by the horrible terror attack against innocent civilians in Israel on October 7th, many of them also children. There is no situation where attacks on civilians are acceptable."

On her company's generous donation to Gaza, the brand wrote:

"Rare Beauty will be making donations to the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies – Magen David Adom, & Palestinian Red Crescent Society – who are providing urgent care on the ground. We will also be donating to UNICEF to help get urgent medical relief & resources to the children of Gaza."

The company added that the decision to send financial aid to Gaza stems from the diversity and inclusivity of Rare Beauty, which employs people from different "race, creed, sexuality, gender identity and religion."
