Martin, 39, a board-certified anesthesiologist in Miami, knows about germs and the best ways to avoid them. She recently partnered with Clorox to help others enter cold and flu season with a good defense against the germs that make us sick.
"I am so excited about this partnership for so many reasons, you know, as a doctor, and a mom, I am all too familiar with germs," Martin told The Blast exclusively. "But as a reality TV personality, I'm also very familiar with messy situations and Clorox is great at handling both of these."
As we head into the peak of cold and flu season, Martin feels it's important to educate others about a "holistic, all-encompassing strategy" to help reduce the risk of germs and disease.
"It's not just hand hygiene and healthy decisions but it's also finding easy, convenient ways that you can tackle germs and messes in your life and Clorox has really just made it so easy with their wipes and their disinfectant mists to handle both the messes and the germs."
For Martin, small, to-go disinfecting wipes are one of her faves, especially when on the go.
"I pick up Greyson [her son] from school, we go do the groceries, I wipe down the cart. Every now and then I give his car seat a good wipe down. All of those high-touch, high-traffic areas that get a lot of contact, it's so easy to wipe them down with the disinfecting wipes," she said.
"And then I love the mist for sanitizing fabrics like his backpack and the gym bag and things that get thrown on the floor and pick up germs."
Martin said she has a designated "drop zone" by the entrance to her home where all the "dirty stuff" and the shoes go to get sanitized with the mist to help reduce the entry of germs in her home. The mist is a newer discovery for the reality star and it's become another favorite in her home.
With the holiday season quickly approaching, more and more people will be traveling during the cold and flu season. Martin said there are some tips that can help you avoid the germs that make people sick.
Hand washing for 20 seconds with soap and water, wiping down surfaces with Clorox wipes, staying home when you're not feeling well and staying away from people who are under the weather, and spraying down luggage with the mist can all help you steer clear of germs while traveling.
The New Season Of The "Real Housewives Of Miami" Just Began!

In early 2021, Martin was approached to join the cast of the "Real Housewives of Miami," a decision that led her to a big shift from her highly structured life as a medical professional. While initially hesitant, Martin embraced the opportunity to share her story with a wider audience, and saw this as an opportunity to empower young women and inspire them to reach for the stars and pursue their dreams.
And now as her third season on the show begins to air, Martin shares a pivotal change in her life that she credits the reality show for helping her with.
"I think a big journey for me during the last three seasons has been my relationship with my dad and it hasn’t always been rainbows and butterflies, but we are in a much better place now than we have ever been. I think everybody deserves second chances, and I think you only get one shot at this life, especially with family," she told The Blast.
"My dad is in the hospital right now and I think reflecting back on the last three years, I’m actually very thankful to the show for having kind of forced me to address that elephant in the room when it came to my relationship with him, because had it not been for the show, I think I would have swept all those feelings under the rug and never addressed them and I’m happy that we got to a much better place now that he’s not doing so well."
Martin hopes others will realize that "life is short" and gives the advice, "don't let those feelings go because life is short and you never know what tomorrow's gonna bring so try to not have any regrets."
As for this season of the show, Martin said to get ready for a lot of emotions.
“This season is gonna be a roller coaster ride of emotions. I think fans are gonna feel every spectrum of the emotional scale," she said. "I think fans will experience it all this season and I think it’s an incredible season.”
Getting Ready For Baby No. 2!
Martin and her fiancé Anthony Lopez recently announced the big news that they are expecting their second child in April. Already parents to Greyson, 4, the family of three is excited to expand their family.

This time around, Martin said she's going to focus on things a bit differently than she did with her first baby.
“I think your first time around, you don’t know what you’re doing. Your kind of just like day-by-day surviving and figuring things out but I think sometimes you get lost in the process of it that maybe you’re not as present as you wish and before you know it, your baby’s one and you missed the newborn phase because you were so frazzled and overwhelmed," she explained.
"So I think now knowing how fast time flies, because I think it does go by really fast, I will make more of a conscious effort to be more present and be not as flustered since I kind of already know what I’m doing, I hope.”
Greyson is really excited about being a big brother and was asking for a sibling for a while.
“He’s going to be a wonderful big brother," she added. "He’s a sweet and caring boy and we’re very excited.”
