Experience is the best teacher and Kim Kardashian had no problem turning it into advice for Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage!

The mother-of-four, who has divorced three times herself, officiated the shortlived union between her hairstylist and Gage barely 7 months ago. Appleton and Gage’s sudden divorce definitely came as a rude shock as they appeared very much in love all through their courtship.

Kim Kardashian passed the lessons she learned from her previous marriage to her hairstylist shortly before he tied the knot with actor Gage. In last week’s episode of Hulu's hit reality TV show, "The Kardashians," she urged Appleton to get a prenuptial agreement.

In the scene, Appleton video called Gage to ask the 43-year-old an important question, but she came in with the prenup question and said:

“I don't care what you have, who you are, what you do,” and then added the famous lyrics from ex-husband Kanye West’s 2005 hit song “Gold Digger” — 'We want prenup. We want prenup.”

When Gage eventually picked up the call, Kardashian said “Oh my God, congratulations. Wait, can I just give you one tip from a lawyer? Prenup.” The SKIMS founder even offered to draw up the plan for the now estranged couple who called her to ask if she could officiate their Las Vegas wedding.

A shocked Kardashian chipped in a funny question before finally agreeing to the request and said, “The three-time divorcee you want to be your minister?” The fashion mogul showed up at their wedding in her private jet and even surprised the couple with a performance from Shania Twain in a rented-out stadium before the ceremony.

Well, seven months later, the hairstylist has now filed for divorce from his husband citing “irreconcilable differences” and in true obedience to Kardashian’s advice, they had a prenup in place.

The case which was filed at the Superior Court of Los Angeles listed the date of separation as October 11, 2023, and their marriage date as April 22, 2023. Appleton and the “Euphoria” actor tied the knot in a secret wedding that was aired on “The Kardashians.”

Appleton and the “Road House” star exchanged marital vows at the Little White Chapel in Vegas and rocked matching fur jackets as Appleton shared details of the event on Instagram and thanked his boss and Twain for a memorable day.

Per The Blast they have no children together, removing any possibility of a custody battle or child support. However, Appleton has asked the court to terminate the ability for either spouse to request or be awarded spousal support.

On the separation of their assets and debts, Appleton wants to execute it “pursuant to the parties’ Prenuptial agreement signed May 3, 2023. Hence, all assets and obligations of each spouse are his separate property.

The hairstylist however wants all the legal fees to be paid by himself and Gage and also holds separate rights to the community property and assets purchased during their marriage.

The pair initially fueled dating rumors in February after posting images from a joint trip to Mexico and even got too expressive in the comments.

They went public and red carpet official with their relationship at the Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood and TikTok Celebrate Vanities: A Night for Young Hollywood event rocking matching white and black ensemble.

As reported by The Blast, Appleton however kept coy about his love life when he was quizzed about the flirty Instagram pictures in a New York Times interview, as he said:

"If they want to think that, they can. I’m a pretty open book about most things in my life, but I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody’s business and nothing can be sacred. It’s a weird line that I’m still trying to figure out."

He later confirmed their relationship on “The Drew Barrymore Show” and added that he is “very happy and very much in love,” stating that he feels very grateful to share his time with Gage.

The “Down Low” actor shared in Appleton’s sentiments when he confirmed their status on ‘The Today Show” a few weeks later, saying, "I feel very happy, very lucky and very much in love. He’s a good-looking man. Something about being in London, I got a taste of the Brits and couldn’t help myself."
