Keke Palmer Keeping Son Close Amid Domestic Violence Allegations

Keke Palmer is prioritizing the safety of her son, who is now in her custody temporarily in the wake of her domestic violence allegations against her ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson.

The actress shook the internet to its core when she filed for a restraining order against the fitness instructor, accompanying it with visual evidence of her baby daddy that allegedly showed him physically assaulting her.

Palmer was seen in public for the first time since the news dropped in the company of her son, Leo, following the court granting her temporary sole custody. The actress held tightly to her baby boy as she appeared to be on a set in West Hollywood in a red costume and smiling as she posed for a quick selfie.

Plamer soon handed over Leo to another lady presumed to be his nanny and resumed shooting. The "True Jackson" actress received an outpouring of love and support from her fans over the weekend, and she even took delivery of a fresh bouquet on the set.

The flowers, consisting of about 50-100 roses sent over by a local business, La Fleur Eclose, had an inscription that read "My Queen" with a little crown decoration. Palmer got emotional as she read the cards' content that came with the floral arrangement, per TMZ.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the Nickelodeon star accused her ex-boyfriend of "striking her" and "throwing her over a couch" while also breaking into her home to attack her physically.

The actress continued to say that there have been many instances of assault in their relationship, with one as recent as last weekend in the presence of their son, which she described as the last straw. The accusation read:

"Destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting me in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse."

Palmer added that Jackson stole her phone when she threatened to call the police and requested that the court order him to stay 100 yards from her and their son.

Jackson's alleged acts were all caught on Palmer's home surveillance video, which she presented as evidence. She also detailed another September 26, 2023 scenario, when Jackson lashed out at Leo. In her words:

"I was concerned for Leo’s safety after Darius became very frustrated with him when Leo was crying while Darius changed his diaper. Darius started getting rough with Leo physically, and I stepped in to make sure Darius would not hurt him."

She claimed that it became a struggle between her and Jackson, and when he finally let go so she could finish changing his diaper, Jackson hit her head and left the room.

The "Perfect Harmony" singer said she finally grew the strength to exit the relationship after Leo's birth, as he described him as "the most important thing in the entire world to me." She also demanded that the judge issue an order preventing "child abduction" and for Jackson only to get visitation after written permission from her.

Palmer is not alone in all this as her mother, Sharon Palmer, lent her voice on social media in her daughter's defense after Jackson's brother pulled a nasty stunt. Sarunas Jackson posted a now-deleted tweet attacking the SNL star, which prompted a rebuttal from Sharon. The tweet from Sarunas read:

"The most disgusting, vile, abusive, manipulative person I have EVER encountered in my entire life…Abuses almost everyone…Y’all will see.. Just send positive energy to the babies.. Any child in the middle of something like this does not deserve it AT ALL. Wow, So damn sad."

Sharon headed to Instagram and warned Sarunas not to twist the narrative to support his abusive brother and added that the "Insecure" actor was not ignorant of his brother's abusive tendencies. In her words:

"I’ve never done anything like this. I’ve been in this business for 22 years. I’ve seen a lot of stuff, but this is—I can’t help myself. For Sarunas Jackson to post on his Twitter the ridiculous that he’s posted when he knew his brother was abusive."

She disclosed that Sarunas was part of the problem as he disrespects women and should never attempt to "mess" with her family, adding that she will not accept the lies.
