Bill Cosby can't escape owing the government money, even though he is sitting in one of their prison facilities after they filed a tax lien against the disgraced actor.

According to new documents obtained by The Blast, the State of California Franchise Tax Board filed the lien against the 85-year-old for owing taxes -- and it's not the first time.

In the filing, obtained by The Blast, the lien reports state that Bill Cosby owes nearly $650,000 for failure to pay property taxes.

Specifically, two liens were filed...one for $88,566.88 and another for $559,573.77. The large amount of cash is owned on taxes for the years 2019 and 2020.

This is not the first time Mr. Cosby has been hit with a massive tax lien as in 2018, he had to pay $1.8 million in back taxes stemming from 2015. The Cosbys apparently paid off the lien at the time, despite the actor being behind bars.

The long-time actor has had a messy career, as he's been accused of sexual assault and abuse by several individuals. Cosby was sentenced in 2018 to 10 years in state prison for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home over 10 years.

Plus, in June, he was hit with even more accusations -- nine to be exact, all from females who worked alongside Mr. Cosby on the hit series 'The Cosby Show.' Janice Dickinson, Lise Lotte-Lublin, Janice Baker-Kinney, Rebecca Cooper, Linda Kirkpatrick, Pam Joy Abeyta, Angela Leslie, Heidi Thomas, and Lili Bernard, were all named in the suit filed in June 2023.

“Defendant Cosby drugged or attempted to drug each of these women before sexually assaulting them,” the complaint stated.

In the suit, Bernard alleged that the actor, who is now behind bars, had lured her from New York in 1990 to Nevada stating he was her"acting mentor" and he arranged a meeting with a handful of Hollywood producers. But, when she arrived in Las Vegas, Mr. Cosby allegedly told her that the producers could not make the meeting, but he then invited her to his hotel room for what he called "a mentoring session."

The actress stated she had a non-alcoholic beverage to drink while in his hotel room, though, she believes the actor drugged the drink as she became dizzy and disoriented. That is when she claims Mr. Cosby raped her.

'The Cosby Show' re-runs were canceled after the first assault allegations occurred years ago. A Netflix comedy special and sitcom deal were also canceled.

Bill Cosby’s television wife, Phylicia Rashad, recently apologized for supporting the comedian amid his sexual assault allegations, stating that her comments were “no way directed towards survivors of sexual assault.”

Rashad was one of the first celebrities to celebrate the move to release Cosby from prison years ago, tweeting at the time, “FINALLY!!! A terrible wrong is being righted – a miscarriage of justice is corrected!” She was then blasted for her comment on social media, saying it was a slap in the face to sexual assault survivors.
