Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are displeased with being the b--- of the joke in a recent episode of the popular comedy series "Family Guy."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now reportedly in "full panic mode" and looking for a solution. They have also described the episode as an "outrageous slur." It comes after rumors swirled online that the couple were having different views about money and that it was affecting their relationship.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are In 'Full Panic Mode'
According to reports, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, felt offended by a recent "Family Guy" episode that satirized their $100 million Netflix deal.
The duo have been in the news recently for several reasons. While some of the spotlight came from positive moments, being the b--- of the joke in the comedy series has made them feel like "they're not being taken seriously enough by people."
They also feel like they can't seem to "catch a break" and have described the satirical episode as "savage" and an "outrageous slur" against their personalities.
As to how Harry and Meghan are handling the roast, a source claims that the couple are in "full panic mode" and consider it an "attack from inside Hollywood."
"Meghan said she won't be humiliated like this and is desperate for a solution. They're in full panic mode," an insider informed Closer Magazine.
The source added, "What's hit them hardest and cuts the deepest of all is that it plays up the whole notion they're self-entitled grifters or spoilt brats."
What The 'Family Guy' Episode Depicted
The recent episode appeared to criticize Harry and Meghan, insinuating that they weren't putting in sufficient effort to justify their current deal with Netflix.
In one scene, an animated portrayal of the couple was seen lounging by the pool when their butler arrived, carrying stacks of envelopes from the streaming giant.
The butler could be seen saying to Harry, "Sir, your millions from Netflix for … No one knows what." Harry then replied, "Put it with the rest of them."
The "Invictus Games" founder was spotted in a different scene, saying, "I shouldn't have left the made-up nonsense." It appeared to suggest that he regretted stepping away from his role as a senior royal in 2020, leaving behind the enticing perks and privileges that came with the position.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Were Once Described As 'F----- Grifters'
The trolling from the "Family Guy" episode comes after Harry and Meghan were called out by Spotify showrunner Bill Simmons in the wake of the termination of their deal with the music streaming platform.
Simmons had taken to his eponymous podcast back in June to express frustration over Markle and Harry's "Archetypes" podcast, which won't get a second season as a result of the decision.
At the time, he described the duo as "f---- grifters" for earning a huge chunk of their $20 million deal with Spotify while only delivering 12 podcast episodes.
"I wish I had been involved in the 'Megan and Harry leave Spotify' negotiation," the head of Spotify's global sports strategy said. "That's a podcast we should've launched with them. I gotta get drunk one night and tell the story of this Zoom I had with Harry to try to help him with a podcast idea. It's one of my best stories."
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Different Views On Money Is 'Pulling Them Apart'
Recently, rumors swirled that Harry and Meghan's different views on money were "pulling them apart." It was also claimed that the issue had made the duo consider following alternative career paths.
"There's very much a feeling that Harry wants to concentrate on charity work and his family, while Meghan is much more concentrated on moving her brand forward," said an insider, per the New York Post.
However, according to a source, the duo should remain together as their partnership has "the potential to continue bringing in substantial income for their family."
"While they have their individual endeavors, their partnership has proven to be beneficial for both of them professionally, too," the insider said.
"If they were to split, it could potentially impact their careers, especially as a couple who have brands built on their relationship."
Despite these reports, Harry and Meghan have continued to put on a united front during public outings, with the pair recently having a fun night out at Katy Perry's Las Vegas Residency.
