In the midst of life's ups and downs, Shanna Moakler is turning a new page with the introduction of another hairless feline friend.

After bidding farewell to her cherished cat, Buddha, and grappling with the loss of her parents, the introduction of this companion brings a glimmer of comfort and warmth into the former pageant queen's life.

Known for her deep affection for animals, the reality TV sensation's decision to flaunt her bond with another hairless pet — the same breed as the late Buddha — speaks volumes about the healing power of animal companionship. 

In a heartwarming turn of events, the former Miss USA could be seen in the video on her Instagram story petting the relaxed four-legged animal. Introducing the cat as Mochi, the mother-of-two specified that he was a chocolate Sphynx breed.

She explained that he could be distinguished by his straight ears, unlike her other cat's curled ears. The actress also mentioned:

"This is the first time he's come and hung out with me since Buddha died. It's like he knows that something is missing, and he's been really, really depressed, and it actually was making me sad and nervous."

Additionally, she observed that Mochi was not particularly thrilled about the arrival of a new kitten but believed his feelings would change over time. The "Joey" star expressed relief and happiness that he was showing progress by being more cuddly and purring, especially considering his recent distant behavior, which she noted was not typical for him. 

Before Mochi's introduction, the "Meet the Barkers" alum had shared how "absolutely gutted" she was about the loss of Buddha. She poured her heart out on Instagram to commemorate the passing of the cherished feline via a photo tribute.

From cozy cuddles by the pool to serene moments of slumber, the images captured the essence of their unbreakable bond. In the caption alongside the touching post, she bid farewell to her "best friend," writing:

"Well this year just keeps getting more horrid, I just put down my best friend…. literally my world. My Buddha." The 48-year-old recounted the pivotal role he played in her life, providing comfort and companionship through thick and thin.

The outpouring of support from Moakler's fans was palpable as they flooded her post with messages of comfort and solace. "I'm so sorry.. he had the BEST life with the best mommy!! Beautiful kitty.. sending you love," one emotional follower wrote, while another tenderly added, "So sorry to hear. Praying for you. He's over the rainbow ? bridge. ???." 

This person shared their experience with empathy, writing, "I'm so sorry ??I know how hard it is. He is watching over you." At the same time, a fourth expressed, "Worst pain ever! I'm so sorry for your loss!"

The latest addition of her cat came at a significant juncture for Moakler, who has weathered the storms of profound loss in a short span. Just eight months after announcing the passing of her mother, Gail Moakler, in January, she had to publicly mourn the death of her father, Dr. John W. Moakler III. 

The news of his passing was shared in a touching tribute on Instagram, where she painted a vivid picture of her cherished moments with her father. In the caption, she revealed her heartache while finding comfort in the belief that her parents are now reunited in the afterlife. She shared:

"It's with great sadness to share the passing of my dad, the only solace is knowing he is with my beautiful mother." 

Grateful for the years spent with her parents and the precious moments shared in his final weeks, she hailed her father as an "amazing husband, doctor and father." The former "Bridalplasty" host vowed to hold onto the incredible legacy of love and strength they bestowed upon her.

Moakler also celebrated them for their unwavering support, even during moments when she felt undeserving. She concluded with a heartfelt declaration of love for her beloved father, extending her appreciation to "all those who have reached out and sent messages of support."
