Following the photo uploads, critics lashed out at Bündchen in the comment section of her post for sharing her personal moments and "thirst traps" on social media instead of raising awareness about the Amazon rainforest fire crisis.
One commenter questioned, "Where is Gisele, defender of Amazon? Have you retired?"
Another concerned follower asked, "What do you intend to do about the biggest fires in AMAZON in 16 years??? What message do you intend to send to the government???"
A third skeptic wondered about her presence in Brazil, stating, "Did you come to defend the Amazon? Or was it only worth in the past?"
Another voice chimed in, "Do something about the Amazon fires! You are such a defender of nature, use your influence to help, or draw the attention of the authorities."
"Our Amazon is on fire !!!! Manaus is under toxic fumes! Use your voice for the Amazon and its people!!!!" another frantically pleaded.
