Lil Nas X Faces Backlash Over 'GROSS' Halloween Costume

Montero Lamar Hill, known by his stage name Lil Nas X, is continuing to push boundaries with his 2023 Halloween costume.

The 24-year-old rapper and singer received a lot of attention for his costume on social media, with many questioning why he would choose to dress up as a bloody tampon for Halloween.

Lil Nas X posted a clip of himself walking around in a bloody tampon and it was clear that many fans were not here for it. One user slammed the costume on X as “irritating, nasty, and disgusting.”

Another user agreed, writing, “The way he does everything in the little power he has to be misogynistic.”

“Why is he using women's suffrage as a costume? My culture is NOT your costume!!” another user exclaimed.

“First the pregnancy photoshoot now a bloody tampon?…he wants to be a woman so badly,” another user speculated. “Or make fun of us??” another netizen asked.

“He wants attention so bad,” another user chimed in. “All that money and this is what you do… smh,” another netizen asserted. “This is disgusting. Of all things?” another user asked.

“I think he took ‘Paint the Town Red’ the wrong way,” another user joked, referring to the Doja Cat song that has since gone viral.

While Lil Nas X made headlines for his “gross” Halloween costume, the “Queen of Halloween,” model Heidi Klum, tried to outdo last year’s worm costume by enlisting the help of Cirque du Soleil to pull off a peacock costume that consisted of approximately ten people.

The 50-year-old model had been teasing this year’s Halloween costume for weeks, and it seems that most fans loved her 2023 Halloween costume. “Imagine someone asking what you were for Halloween ‘Oh I was Heidi Klum’s legs,’” one fan joked. “She’ll ALWAYS find a way to top her previous costumes this is insane,” another follower wrote. “OMG, this is on a whole new level,” a third fan chimed in.

Unfortunately, there were also some who did not like her elaborate costume. “I think we expected a lot more from you… after all, last year you shocked the world with your costume, this year it’s a bit boring… but hey, I believe next time will be much better!” one user commented. However, fans were quick to come to her defense, with one user saying, “Disagree. It’s beautiful and cool.”
