Matthew Perry's ex-fiancée Molly Hurwitz is finally speaking out following news of the Hollywood icon's death.

Two days after the "Friends" star passed away on Saturday, October 28, the entertainer's former lover addressed his demise on her social media page. The media personality reflected on the duo's time together — the good, the bad, and their shared love for the actor's famous NBC sitcom.

Molly Hurwitz Says It Was 'Magical' Watching Matthew Perry Rediscover His Comedic Gifts

In her latest Instagram update, the "Mr. Sunshine" star's ex-fiancée shared an edited picture of the late actor's silhouette over a festive snow-covered area. Alongside this beautiful snap was a lengthy caption depicting Hurwitz's adoration for her former beau and her experiences with the TV personality.

"He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was. And he really was very talented," the social media influencer began her emotional message, recalling that before the "Friends" reunion in 2021, she and Perry would rewatch the iconic series. In her words:

"'F—, I was so good!!! … See what I did there???' We rewound and studied scenes. Our respect and appreciation of humor is something that connected us. Being with him as he rediscovered his brilliance was magical."

Despite their heartwarming memories, Hurwitz stressed that she knew the man behind the screen and that not every moment with him was blissful. "While I loved him deeper than I could comprehend, he was complicated, and he caused pain like I'd never known," the media personality explained.

Despite the pain Perry had caused Hurwitz, the "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" star's ex-fiancée noted she appreciated everything that transpired between the former couple. The influencer wrote: "No one in my adult life has had a more profound impact on me than Matthew Langford Perry. I have tremendous gratitude for that, for everything I learned from our relationship."

Hurwitz also referenced the late entertainer's battle with addiction by giving a special shout-out to "Al-Anon," a support group for those who love someone struggling with substance abuse. Penning her final goodbye to the man she once planned on walking down the aisle with, the literary manager concluded her message:

"Matty, I feel relief that you are at peace. Sincerely, Moll-o-Rama(…fication)."

The social media personality's tribute to the "Three to Tango" actor came two years after the former couple's separation. In 2021, the duo ended their engagement, with Perry confirming the split in a statement. "Sometimes things just don't work out, and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best," the entertainer announced, per PEOPLE.

The heartbreaking news coincided with the premiere of the highly anticipated "Friends" reunion, which aired on HBO Max. A year before the NBC sitcom stars rekindled their beloved on-screen friendship, Perry had popped the big question to Hurwitz in November 2020.

At the time, the "17 Again" actor raved: "I decided to get engaged. Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time." The former couple began dating in 2018, surprising the world with their two-decade age gap.

Before joining the other A-listers in The Great Beyond, Perry shocked many by confessing he no longer watched the beloved sitcom. While promoting his 2022 memoir “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing,” the 54-year-old announced that he could not bear to see himself on the show because it triggered his dark past.

"[I] can’t watch the show because I was brutally thin. Because I could go drinking, opiates, drinking, cocaine. I could tell season by season by how I looked,” the entertainer explained. “That’s why I don’t want to watch it because that’s what I see."

Although the sitcom became a trigger for the late actor, the comedic series remains one of the most iconic shows ever. "Friends" premiered in 1994 with Perry starring alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer. The show aired 236 episodes across ten seasons, receiving numerous accolades and recognitions.

Like Hurwitz, the Hollywood veteran's former co-stars shared a touching tribute following the actor's passing. In their joint statement, the entertainers expressed grief over Perry's death with the words: “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family.”

For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
