"Together, SKIMS and the NBA will connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sport, and talent, and I look forward to seeing the partnership thrive."
Jens Grede, Co-Founder and CEO of SKIMS added, "The NBA's modern approach and significant impact on pop culture, entertainment, and fashion is unparalleled in sports. Our partnership marks a remarkable opportunity for SKIMS and the NBA to work together on what it means to engage the next generation of fans through basketball."
SKIMS is partnering with not only the NBA, but also the WNBA and USA Basketball to "leverage the power of basketball to generate excitement and demand by showing up in unexpected ways," according to a press release issued by the NBA.
"SKIMS has quickly become one of our most culturally influential brands," NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said. "We look forward to bringing NBA fans and SKIMS users unique experiences, new offerings and premium products through our partnership."
Fans will see the partnership come together at future marquee events, including the NBA All-Star Game and the new NBA In-Season Tournament. As part of the NBA partnership, SKIMS will receive media exposure across various platforms that includes on-court virtual signage during national broadcasts of NBA and WNBA games, as well as social and digital platforms.

With the WNBA experiencing a great deal of growth recently, this partnership comes at a great time for the league.
"The athletes of the WNBA are trendsetters and cultural influencers," WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said, according to For The Win. "We are excited to work with SKIMS, a brand that has quickly cemented its status as a cultural centerpiece, to elevate each other's brands and celebrate female athletes and their impact in society."
The 2023 WNBA season was the most watched regular season since 2002, with viewership up 21%. The league also set new records on social media, sports betting and on digital platforms.
The 2023 Finals had the two best teams in the league, Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty, fighting for the Championship as well as making WNBA history, and was the most watched Finals in two decades. The Finals ended with the Aces taking the title for a second year in a row.
