It looks like Britney Spears is ready to release some new music.

There have been rumors that the 41-year-old Princess of Pop was going to release some new tunes to coincide with the release of her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” on Tuesday, October 24.

However, aside from a two-day fan event for her 2002 “Crossroads” movie held on October 23 and October 25, the week came and went without any new music.

Fortunately, on early Sunday morning, the “Toxic” singer took to Instagram to let her followers know that she wrote a new song and they have just one question: when can they hear it?

Britney Spears Says She Wrote A New Song Amid ‘The Woman In Me’ Release

On early Sunday morning, the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer revealed that she had written a new song. Although she didn’t tell her followers exactly what it was about, she did drop a few hints, insisting that she has “no beef” with anyone.

In the caption of her Instagram post, she wrote, “I wrote a new song !!! Hate you to like me !!! No beef with anyone … just being a narcissist in a claimed, self-entitled way !!! It’s to accumulate interest by giving ego with my eyes closed because I hear important people do that these days ??.”

Comments were disabled, but the post was liked by over 150,000 fans and famous friends in only six hours.

Britney Is Looking Forward To A 'Clean Slate'

In a message posted both to X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram, the “Hold Me Closer” singer insisted that she never meant to "offend" anyone with her memoir only a few days before the book was released. Instead, she insisted that she has "moved on" from events that took place "20 years ago" and is looking forward to a "beautiful clean slate" from here on out.

“My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means !!! That was me then …that is in the past !!!” she began. “I don’t like the headlines I am reading …that’s exactly why I quit the business 4 years ago !!! Most of the book is from 20 years ago … I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here !!!”

“Hopefully I can enlighten people who feel particularly alone in most cases or hurt or misunderstood !!! Again, my motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences which is what the press is doing and it’s dumb and silly !!!” she concluded. “I have moved on since then !! #TheWomaninMe.”
