Meghan Markle's Ex-Friend Reportedly Tells King Charles To 'Grow A Backbone' And 'Stop Her Memoirs'

A former pal of Meghan Markle's has made a request to King Charles III to "intervene" and put a stop to the attention being given to his daughter-in-law and son, Prince Harry.

The ex-friend, TV presenter Lizzie Cundy, noted that Harry and Meghan need to stop their "moaning" and "whining," claiming that the pair have built a career out of "complaining."

Cundy's grievances stem from the recent parodying of The Sussexes in the popular cartoon "Family Guy."

Meghan Markle's former pal is speaking out against a recent episode of "Family Guy," in which the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, were mocked.

Lizzie Cundy, who was once friends with Meghan, complained that the attention on the royal duo was getting out of hand and that the king himself would need to "intervene."

"In light of the recent cartoons mocking Meghan and Harry, King Charles needs to intervene and stop her memoirs," Cundy told the Mirror. "Enough now of their moaning and whinging, all they do is backstab and make a career out of complaining. It's so bad now that we're a laughing stock across the pond making cartoon features of the couple – it's time for this to stop."  

She added, "Meghan can forget a career in politics because, with their moaning, they've become laughingstocks, not just here but in the States. Their celebrity friends have moved away from them."

Cundy, whose friendship with the duchess ended after her marriage to Harry, claimed that the Sussexes can only make money by "slating" the royal family and that King Charles needs to make sure Meghan doesn't release any memoirs because they might include more bombshells than her husband's "Spare."

The TV presenter then sent a direct message to her ex-pal, saying, "Meghan, put the pen down, the Royal Family can't take it anymore and the British public has had enough. The Royals can't take another cartoon series of them being mocked. Please, for once, put the pen down."

She also had some words for Meghan's father-in-law: "King Charles, grow a backbone and tell her straight."

Nine months after being ridiculed in an episode of "South Park," the Sussexes found themselves as the butt of the joke again, this time in an episode of Seth MacFarlane's "Family Guy."

In the show, a cartoon version of Meghan and Harry can be seen lounging poolside right after a scene where the main character, Peter Griffin, compares himself to the Duke and Duchess while at a bar, The Drunken Clam, with his friends.

Griffin expressed worry that he would not be able to retrieve the money he was owed but then suddenly decided that he would take on the world on his own, just like Harry and Meghan did after stepping down from their roles as senior royals in 2020.

"I'll go it alone, just like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry," Griffin proclaims. Following this statement by the protagonist, the scene switches to Harry and Meghan at the pool, whom a butler approaches with an envelope. 

"Sir, your millions from Netflix for no one knows what," the butler says. "Put it with the rest of them," Harry replies while waving him away.

Shortly after the interaction, Meghan receives a notification that causes her to say, "Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco."

The cartoon clip ends with the duke seemingly expressing regret for leaving the royal family, saying, "I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense."

The scathing parody comes on the heels of the collapse of Harry and Meghan's $20 million podcast deal with Spotify.

According to royal expert Tom Bower, the "Suits" star plans to release a detailed memoir. It will follow her husband’s critically acclaimed book, "Spare." Bower stated on GBNews that the memoir would be a “money-spinner” and very successful.

Another royal author, Phil Dampier, said that the duchess' rumored memoir would be the perfect opportunity for her to reveal what truly happened during her time with the royal family.

In a chat with The Sun, he explained that Meghan would also use the opportunity to reminisce on her time with the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.

Dampier stated, “Harry’s Spare was a best seller, and Meghan’s would probably sell even more.” 

He added, “It would also be the ideal opportunity for Meghan to put across her view of what happened to her when she met Harry, fell in love, joined the most famous family in the world, and then left.”
