*NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass wants Britney Spears fans to know that she has already forgiven her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
The former couple dated from 1999 to 2002, but the "Toxic" singer has only now reflected on allegations of infidelity and even an unplanned pregnancy in her tell-all memoir, "The Woman In Me," which was released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
Fans of the pop star were quick to support her on social media, including in the comments of Justin Timberlake's Instagram page. Some of the scathing comments prompted the "Mirrors" crooner to disable comments on his Instagram page.

Despite letting the now 41-year-old pop star and her estranged husband Sam Asghari finally meet his kids earlier this year, it looks like Lance Bass is sticking up for the "Cry Me A River" singer.
On Saturday, October 28, TMZ caught up with Lance at LAX, who said he intends to read Britney's memoir soon. Although he hasn't read the book yet, he is still aware of the headlines and fans' reaction to his bandmate on social media and he thinks that fans should forgive him, just like Britney allegedly did.
“I’m about to read it on the plane,” Lance replied when asked if he had read Britney’s book. When asked about the audiobook version, Lance said, “It sounds amazing,” adding, “Maybe she should do my book,” joking the “The Woman In Me” narrator Michelle Williams should narrate his memoir as well, should he ever write one.
When asked if it was “fair or unfair” that Britney fans were coming after JT for events that happened twenty years ago, Lance replied, “I mean, everyone has their own opinion. I just feel like the world is so full of hate right now that we need to practice a little forgiveness. Britney did. So let’s take a note from her.”
“Everyone deserves to tell their story. She did, and you know, I hope the fans can, again, find some forgiveness, right?” he continued. When asked if he had talked to JT, Lance replied, “I’m not going to talk about my conversation.”
When asked about a possible *NSYNC new tour or an album, Lance replied, “There was no plan for a tour. There was no plan for an album. We might be talking about it soon but nothing in the works right now.” When asked if he was crossing his fingers for it, though, Lance replied, “Of course.”
Earlier in the week, sources told TMZ that all of *NSYNC – including Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JC Chasez were supporting Justin Timberlake in the wake of Britney’s bombshell allegations.
Insiders also told the outlet that the backlash he is facing is not interrupting his career plans. Although he has quietly wiped a few club appearances off of his schedule, his new single and a plan for a 2024 tour are still currently in the works.
Britney Spears Is Looking Forward To A 'Clean Slate'
Last Friday, the “Lucky” singer released a brief statement claiming that she never meant to “offend” anyone with her tell-all book, noting that “most of the book is from 20 years ago” and she is looking forward to a “beautiful clean slate” from here on out.
“My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means !!! That was me then …that is in the past !!!” she wrote on Instagram. “I don’t like the headlines I am reading …that’s exactly why I quit the business 4 years ago !!! Most of the book is from 20 years ago … I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here !!!”
“I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life !!!” she continued. “Either way, that is the last of it and s— happens !! This is actually a book didn’t know needed to be written … although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future !!!”
“Hopefully I can enlighten people who feel particularly alone in most cases or hurt or misunderstood !!! Again, my motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences which is what the press is doing and it’s dumb and silly !!!” she concluded. “I have moved on since then !! #TheWomaninMe.”
Britney’s tell-all memoir, “The Woman In Me,” was officially released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
