Pop star Britney Spears is speaking out against her “eternal virgin” status in her memoir, “The Woman In Me.”

The tell-all book, which was released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, touches on everything from her career to her conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021. Even years before the conservatorship began, however, she was frustrated with the idea that she had to play the “eternal virgin” despite giving away her V-Card at age 14.

In an excerpt from her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” released by People magazine, Britney lamented on how she had to be portrayed “as an eternal virgin” by her management team, even though she had lost her virginity at age 14.

“Given that I had so many teenage fans, my managers and press people had long tried to portray me as an eternal virgin — never mind that Justin and I had been living together, and I’d been having sex since I was fourteen,” Britney wrote.

“Why did my managers work so hard to claim I was some kind of young-girl virgin even into my twenties? Whose business was it if I’d had sex or not?” she asked. In her 2008 memoir, “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World,” Britney’s mother Lynne Spears claimed her daughter had lost her virginity at age fourteen as well.

In 2002, Justin Timberlake appeared on The Star & Buc Wild Morning Show, where he was asked about whether or not he had been intimate with the pop star.  “Justin Timberlake is in the house, and I just want to ask you one question—did you f--- Britney Spears?” Troi “Star” Torain asked the “Mirrors” crooner at the time. “Yes or no? Come on, man.”

“Oh man,” Justin said with an laugh, before adding, “OK, I did it!”

In an excerpt of her memoir released by the Daily Mail only one day before its official release, Britney revealed that her mother had punished her for skipping school after she started dating one of the best friends of her older brother, Bryan Spears.

She admitted that she was “young” for the ninth grade, while her brother’s friend was 17, as her brother was a senior in high school. The "Overprotected" singer confessed to sneaking out during the school day to see her new boyfriend but noted how the relationship “ended up consuming a lot of [her] time,” which resulted in her missing multiple days of school after forging her mother’s signature.

“I would go to school like normal at 7 a.m. but leave at lunchtime, around one p.m., and spend the afternoon with him,” she wrote in her memoir. “Then he would drive me back right as school was getting out. I’d just innocently get on the bus and go home like nothing happened.”

Eventually, the school called to let her mother know that the "Toxic" singer had missed a total of 17 days of school, which compelled Bryan to fill her parents in on the whole story. “The age difference between me and this guy was huge – obviously – now it seems outrageous,” she admitted.

“So my brother, who was always very protective, started to hate him,” she continued. “When Bryan caught me sneaking out to go visit his friend, he told on me to our parents. As a punishment, I had to walk around the neighborhood all day with a bucket, cleaning up garbage like a prisoner on the highway. Bryan followed me around taking pictures as, crying, I picked up trash.”

Britney Spears' memoir "The Woman In Me" was officially released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
