Marvel star Jeremy Renner has opened up about feeling blessed with "superpowers" over nine months after his snowplow accident. The actor spoke about how he has changed his life, including prioritizing his family and spirit. Renner has been healing well and was recently spotted walking without his cane support.
He has also been working on his projects, including a new liquor brand called Sweet Grass Vodka. He recently announced a new album on Instagram, saying that the musical project, titled "Love and Titanium," has been painful and deeply healing for him.
Jeremy Renner Feels Blessed With A 'Superpower'
During a recent interview with CNN, Jeremy Renner opened up about how his life has changed since his nearly fatal snowplow accident in January this year. The actor said he now feels "very blessed and very lucky to be upright and walk around and to live life" as he heals from multiple injuries.
The accident happened on New Year's Day at Renner's home in Reno, Nevada. The "The Avengers" actor was helping his nephew remove a car stuck in the snow-filled driveway at his home. His injuries included broken ribs, ankles, knees, shoulders, and severe chest trauma.
He told CNN, "I'm very, very clear. My life is really lean, if that makes sense. There's no fat in my life anymore. I don't have time for that. So, there's something really beautiful about having that superpower."
Jeremy Renner Has Changed His Life Completely
During the interview, Renner said his life changes include being more deliberate with his time and company. He said, "I was really clear about how I want to spend my time, and who I want to spend my time with. This to me feels like family, sort of lifestyle things we talk about all the time."
Renner spoke about the importance of the "spirit" and the "shared experience." He added, "And that, to me, is where I want to spend my time." The actor also told CNN that his accident and recovery brought him multiple gifts that have changed his life.
He said, "When you're tested physically, emotionally, spiritually, in every way, and then to come through it, that's something hard to explain. Perseverance. Strength. It's all a mental game. I put it in my back pocket now. I know how to deal with pain. It's all mind. It's all in the mind. If you can sift through the fog of it all, I am very blessed."
Jeremy Renner Has Been Walking Without A Cane Support
About ten months after the horrible snowplow accident, Renner seems to have significantly recovered from his physical injuries. The actor was recently photographed walking without his cane in public while attending actress Kate Beckinsale's birthday celebration in July.
Renner has also been photographed with several of his former co-stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The iconic group was in Boston to attend Chris Evans and Alba Baptista's wedding festivities in September. Renner has been making multiple public appearances since his recovery, including a talk show feature on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
His last TV appearance was in the most recent season of "Mayor of Kingstown," his Paramount+ series; before that was his role as Hawkeye for the Marvel and Disney+ series in 2021.
It's still unclear if he'll retain the part for any future projects with the studio.
He Is Releasing New Music And Promoting A Vodka Brand
Since his release from the hospital, Renner has been hard at work in his non-film projects. The actor is currently promoting a new liquor brand, "Sweet Grass Vodka," and has announced a new album, "Love and Titanium," on his Instagram.
In his announcement post, Renner said the album is inspired by "different milestones in my journey of recovery since Jan 1st this year."

He wrote that the project has been "painful, deeply healing, and ultimately cathartic for me to create."
Renner added that he hopes he builds the "courage to share" the new music with his fans and the world. The other details in the post were the album art and text "soon," with no hints about a release date. Renner's previous music projects include the 2019 rock song "Heaven Don't Have a Name" and his 2020 EP "The Medicine."
