Alexa Nikolas Praises Britney Spears’ Memoir: ‘She Is Beyond An Inspiration!’

Pop star Britney Spears is getting some high praise from Alexa Nikolas after the Princess of Pop apologized to her yet again in her memoir, "The Woman In Me."

Jamie Lynn Spears' "Zoey 101" costar was yelled at by the pop star after Jamie Lynn accused her costar of bullying her. In an hour-long interview titled, “What Really Happened On Set Of Zoey 101,” Alexa recalled how Britney was "yelling" at her for bullying her sister, which she called a 'total black-out" moment. Although she admitted that the experience was "traumatizing," she admitted that she knew Britney was "going through her own thing" at the time.

In a since-deleted Twitter post published in October 2022, the singer penned a lengthy apology to Alexa, admitting that she didn't have the full story when she lost her cool. “It broke my heart to see your interview about your experience in the business … Hollywood is a place of dreams but let’s be honest … on rare occasions do people come out years later and share the dark side !!!” Britney began. “There are thousands of people with broken dreams and I am absolutely in awe of you raising awareness for the next generation on how to be protected.”

“The one thing you said you wish you could have told your younger self is that you wish you could have known you could have just walked away!!!” Britney continued. “Countless times I did the same thing and I took the abuse … it’s nice to know I’m not the only one who has felt that way … I know it’s 15 years later what you are sharing but trust me … I know it still matters !!!”

“Although I have apologized to you personally just by ‘instinct’ my heart at the time didn’t know how incredibly good my family was with the ACTING LANGUAGE !!!” Britney went on. “Just imagine … me visiting my little sister on her set, last day of shooting, bringing Sprinkles cupcakes … 9 months pregnant, hormones raging like h— and the assistant director Ian witnessing Jamie Lynn running to me, placing her hands on my knees while I’m sitting down, her sobbing telling me that she’s being bullied on set !!!”

“The assistant director and my mom included in the room were just silent !!!” Britney recalled. “My sister was literally like my daughter growing up … so I apologize for my ignorance for yelling at you when I obviously had no idea what was really going on !!!”

“Jesus Christ … I was pregnant and let’s be HONEST all these moms and dads … ‘THE WATCHFUL WHITE OWLS’ who hide behind the scenes observing their child stars … referring to my mother who should have immediately stepped in and took over the situation … and I told my 9 month pregnant self to sit down, relax and have a Sprinkles cupcake !!!”

“They should have treated me like a guest because that’s exactly what I was !!!” Britney continued. “It’s always been extremely interesting the situations my family has put me in to make me embarrassed … I know you have probably heard about what happened to me 3 years ago … I wrote 3 different versions of a book and since then, honestly it’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do !!!”

“The way you spoke gave me strength and inspiration but I do write you this message today because I am sorry for ever hurting your feelings!!!” Britney concluded, adding, “You should tell Nickelodeon to kiss your a–!!!”

In November 2022, Alexa took to Instagram to tell Britney that she accepted her apology and shared Britney’s initial Twitter statement in the slides of her Instagram post. “I’m sitting here crying with my jaw on the floor. Thank you for seeing me and listening to me. Thank you for apologizing,” she wrote in the caption. “As you know I forgive you. You have always been my biggest inspiration and strength since I was 6 years old.”

“You have healed so many childhood wounds for me as an adult. Your voice is POWERFUL. Beyond. I hope you always know that. This is honestly one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me. We forget as a society how much support and love impacts us,” she continued.

“My child self and current self is in awe of the incredible person you are. I always knew that about you. I’m pretty positive so many of us always knew. Thank you for being you and embracing everything that you are,” she added.

“To describe you now would be a wordless language. Thank you for this. I can’t wait to show my daughter Nova what an inspiration you are now and forever. Love you. You deserve the best,” she concluded. “That’s all for now. Thank you. Oh, and @nickelodeon can kiss my a--.”

On Friday, Alexa took to Instagram to share a passage that Britney wrote in her memoir, “The Woman In Me.” In the passage, Britney wrote, “After she complained to me about a co-star of hers on her TV show, I stood up on the set to have words with the actress.” She goes on to write, “What I must have looked like, hugely pregnant, yelling at a teenage (and, I would later learn, innocent) girl, ‘Are you spreading rumors about my sister?’ (To that young actress, I’m sorry).”

Even though she did not name Alexa in her memoir, Alexa posted the passage on Instagram, writing, “Oh my god I’m in shock! WOW! Apparently, Britney Spears mentioned me in her NEW book and apologized to me AGAIN! She is beyond an inspiration! Seriously. I am gonna say this a thousand times over! She is absolutely incredible! What a beautiful soul. Thank you, Britney! I will never forget this moment. Once again. So healing. I can’t wait to receive the book!”

Fans had a lot of praise for Britney and Alexa for handling such a difficult situation with grace, with one fan writing, “The fact that you felt her first apology was good enough and the fact that she had to make it known to everyone she was in the wrong. Shows how deep she truly is as a human being.”
