Bindi Irwin has given her first television interview since receiving a diagnosis of endometriosis earlier this year, discussing her life while dealing with pain before discovering the condition.

Despite her chronic pain, the conservationist continued to move forward, accomplishing notable milestones such as winning "Dancing with the Stars," getting married, and becoming a mother to her daughter, Grace Warrior, with her husband, Chandler Powell. While all these gave her varying levels of success and accomplishments, Bindi has opened up about her fear of miscarrying during her pregnancy.

Bindi Irwin Expresses Gratitude For Carrying First Pregnancy To Term

Starting in her teenage years, Bindi revealed she had endured unexplained pain, including cramping, fatigue, and nausea. However, the doctors she consulted at the time couldn't identify the cause of these symptoms and often dismissed her concerns.

Desperate to find answers, she underwent various tests, like MRIs, cancer screenings, CT scans, CT scans, and more. It was during this point that she found out that she and Chandler were expecting their first child together.

Looking back on her pregnancy with Grace, born on March 25, 2021, the 25-year-old shared that she often worried about a miscarriage because of the intense physical pain she was enduring during that period. Bindi detailed in an interview aired on "Good Morning America" saying:

"It would just be excruciating pain in my side. And I would think that I was losing our beautiful daughter. I had no idea about what was happening. And so now I have answers. But at the time I was terrified every day that I was going to lose our beautiful daughter."

Bindi emphasized how fortunate she and her man were to have Grace, saying, "For me and Chandler, we're so lucky to have Grace. So many women can't fall pregnant because of problems with endometriosis."

In August, during her initial announcement after getting her diagnosis, The Blast reported that the zookeeper explained:

"I was tested for everything. Every tropical disease, Lyme disease, cancer, you name it. I had every blood test and scan imaginable. It's so hard because you feel like it's inescapable. You don't know what's wrong with you, and then when people tell you 'It's all in your head' or 'you're hormonal' or 'just have a cup of tea, lay down,' you end up feeling so desperately alone because there's no answers."

Bindi recognized the urgency of her situation when an intense episode of pain in August 2022 left her immobilized on the ground, curled up in a fetal position. This harrowing incident prompted her decision to undergo a laparoscopy, a minimally invasive procedure designed to diagnose and treat intra-abdominal conditions.

The procedure ultimately confirmed that Bindi was indeed grappling with endometriosis, a reproductive disorder characterized by the growth of uterine tissue outside the uterus, leading to cramps and chronic pain.

The Irwins Are Committed To Keeping Steve's Memory Alive

In September 2016, Steve Irwin met a tragic end while filming a documentary, pierced in the chest by a stingray barb. Since that time, his family has dutifully upheld his legacy by persistently promoting animal welfare and conservation efforts.

That sense of duty was in full force when Bindi along with her mother Terri and brother Robert, hosted a gala dinner to honor the late television personality at the luxurious SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

The mother of one gave a glimpse at the event, snapping and sharing a selfie with her husband on her Instagram page. As The Blast observed in May, the couple appeared joyful and vibrant as they smiled for the camera. Adding some more sweetness into the mix, Bundi captioned the shot:

"My date to the #SteveIrwinGala ?. @chandlerpowell Thank you for being such a supportive, kind, incredible person who I love with all my heart. Tonight was so special. More photos to come…."

The man of the moment responded with an equally heartwarming message in the comments section, typing, "I love you so much. I have the most amazing and beautiful date ❤️ I'm the luckiest man alive."

In another social media post, the "Bindi the Jungle Girl" alum focused on her family's playful side. She posted a short clip featuring her brother perfectly timed to the tune of Van Galen's 1984 song, "Jump." With this lighthearted post, she wrote, "Wait for it….. @robertirwinphotography #SteveIrwinGala" in the caption.
