Britney Spears Claims Justin Timberlake Played The Guitar Amid Her At-Home Abortion

Pop star Britney Spears is sharing even more details about her unplanned pregnancy with her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

In addition to navigating allegations of infidelity, the former couple - who dated from 1999 to 2002 - also had to deal with an unplanned pregnancy, in which the pop star claims the "Cry Me A River" singer played the guitar while she went through "excruciating" physical pain.

In her upcoming memoir, "The Woman In Me," Britney Spears recalled how Justin Timberlake played the guitar while she was having an at-home abortion. A source told Us Weekly that the "Mirrors" singer "thought maybe music would help" and strummed his guitar while the 19-year-old pop star lay "crying and sobbing" on the bathroom floor.

According to an excerpt of the book published by the Associated Press, the "Toxic" singer didn't even tell her family that she was pregnant until after she had terminated the pregnancy. The former couple also agreed not to go to a doctor or the hospital in order to keep the pregnancy a secret. As such, she took pills in order to have an abortion at home.

“It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion, which meant doing everything at home,” Britney wrote, describing the pain of the medication as “excruciating.”

“I kept crying and sobbing until it was all over,” Britney recalled in her memoir. “It took hours, and I don’t remember how it ended, but I do, twenty years later, remember the pain of it, and the fear.”

In another excerpt of “The Woman In Me,” released by People magazine, Britney opened up on her unplanned pregnancy. “It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she wrote in her memoir. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”

“I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father,” she continued, adding, “To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”

Justin married actress Jessica Biel in 2012 and had two sons. Britney also had two sons with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, to whom she was married from 2004 to 2007, shortly before her 13-year conservatorship started. On August 1, her two sons - Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17 - moved to Hawaii with their father, although they reportedly remain in contact.

Although multiple sources have already recalled how Justin broke up with the "Piece Of Me" singer via text message, another insider told Us Weekly this week that "The Social Network" actor broke up with her “over the phone” but then traveled from California to Louisiana in order to deliver a handwritten breakup letter in person.

The source went on to say that Britney explains that she framed the handwritten letter and still keeps it under her bed to this day. Unfortunately for fans, she does not say what Justin wrote in the letter; however, she does mention that he is a "good writer" and looking at the letter makes her feel emotional.

In an excerpt from The New York Times published on Thursday, Britney recalled being absolutely “devastated” by the breakup. “I was comatose in Louisiana, and he was happily running around Hollywood,” she wrote, although she lamented how the media portrayed her as a “harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy.”

In her memoir, Britney recalls how she made out with dancer Wade Robsonto get back at Justin for cheating on her, but says that Justin forgave her for that transgression. Meanwhile, she has accused him of cheating on her "a couple of times" with different people.
