Shannon Beador is back on social media following her arrest for a hit-and-run and driving under the influence on September 16.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star reportedly drove erratically onto a residential property and crashed into the house as she tried to park her car and made it look like she was walking her pet.
Shannon Beador Is Focused On Getting Better
The 59-year-old bared her mind in a short video on her Instagram page, which also marks her reemergence on social media. Beador gave her fans and followers a quick status update since the arrest as she said:
“I know it’s been a while since I posted, and there’s been a lot of talk about what happened recently. But unfortunately, right now, I’m not in the position to comment. But there will be a time when I can, and I intend to be open, honest, and authentic.”

The TV personality took a short stroll with her dog Archie in the clip as she shares a glimpse o of the puppy with the fans. She also disclosed that she is “focusing on getting healthy, getting back to myself, and walking Archie,” as the clip gathered over 41k likes.
Earlier in September, the star was taken into custody on charges of DUI in the early hours of September 16. Per ET, the star was briefly arrested and released. Her attorney, Michael Fell, shared that the reality star was “extremely apologetic and remorseful.”
He added that they were waiting for official information on the case and that Beador was fully prepared to accept responsibility for her carelessness. Another source shared that the incident happened as Beador got home from a party and discovered she had forgotten her phone. The source continued:
“She wasn’t able to call an Uber without her phone and decided to drive back to the place, resulting in the accident. Shannon is devastated and knows she made a big mistake. She has always been against drinking and driving and never does. She’s telling friends this lapse in judgment won’t happen again.”
Her friend Jeff Lewis was also shocked about the occurrence as he claimed he had never known Beador to drink and drive. He added:
“I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic. As her close friend, I think she’s going through a lot of personal struggles right now and I think that she probably has been leaning on alcohol, but I don’t believe she’s an alcoholic.”
The ‘RHOC’ Star’s Ex-Husband Did Not Approve Of Their Children Appearing On The Show
Back in 2021, Shannon got involved in a messy battle with her ex-husband, David Beador, over their two daughters. The reality star requested that the judge allow her two 17-year-old daughters to continue filming on the show, as her eldest, who was 20 at that time, was no longer a minor. In emphasizing the value of the show to her finances, Beador said:
“The filming of the Show is my primary career and is part of and supportive of my primary income source, for which I use said income to care for my children. If my children do not film on the show, I will be in violation of my contract and will lose my job, and thus my ability to earn income.”
RHOC executive producers have clearly stated that Shannon would be removed from the show if access to the inside of her home and all her children were restricted.
However, David filed an opposing suit, stating that while he had allowed the kids to participate in the filming in the past, things are now much different in their family. He continued that he has a new family now and is trying to keep things as private as possible, adding that:
“My current wife also has two other children of her own that do not need to have their mother exposed to possible disparaging comments made about our family on national television.”
Per The Blast, David admitted that he found it “trouble that these proposed limitations are not acceptable” with Shannon and her counsel despite sharing joint legal custody of the kids. He added that it seemed Shannon had decided not to respect his wishes or those of his new wife and his daughter during the filming of the 16th season.
