However, the run-in with the law came at a shocking time — a mere five days after she attended her late husband Willingham's funeral. Recall that he passed away on July 1 at the age of 40. The devastating news was confirmed by his stepmom, Shirley Willingham, who didn't give more details about his death.

According to criminal records, Tammy is due back in court for some sort of diversion plan on April 24, 2024.

A heartbroken Slaton further confirmed her husband's passing with an emotional statement that read, "I am devastated to share the news of my husband's passing. He was my best friend, and I loved him dearly. When I met Caleb, he became my guardian angel, and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone's sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

She later took to Instagram to mourn his loss, sharing a carousel of photos of them hugging. "Rip, sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness," she wrote in the accompanying caption.

Willingham, nicknamed "Killa K" or "Double K," met Slaton at a rehab center in Ohio, where he went to get medical assistance for obesity. They got engaged in 2022 and eventually tied the knot that same year.

However, around the time of his passing, it was reported that the lovebirds were at loggerheads over Willingham's dieting issues. According to sources, Slaton didn't like that her husband refused to "stick to [his] diet" and was preparing to lawyer up.

"They split up because Caleb hasn't been following his diet in rehab," the source claimed. "He has gained 30 lbs and hasn't been working his program." The insider added that the lovebirds got into a heated fight about the issues, but Willingham first declared he wanted a divorce.

However, Slaton had the full support of her sisters, Amy and Amanda Slaton, who believed pulling the plug on her marriage would benefit her health. The source explained, "She wants someone who can be there for her, and his health keeps declining. She would have to take care of him once he's out of rehab, and that is her taking on the care of a whole other person when she can barely take care of herself, so the relationship is pointless."

Despite their troubles, the TLC star admitted she loved him deeply. In an emotional TikTok post, Slaton said while fighting back tears, "I hate getting on here and letting everybody see me like this. I'm in the stages of grief. Yeah, we were having problems, but I loved that man and I still do."
