Britney Spears Breaks Silence On Unplanned Pregnancy With Justin Timberlake

Pop star Britney Spears just dropped a major reveal about her relationship with Justin Timberlake.

The 41-year-old pop star drops a major bombshell in her upcoming memoir, “The Woman In Me.” Although it doesn’t officially get released until next Tuesday, many details about her memoir are beginning to slip out into the media.

On Tuesday morning, fans learned the real reason why the “Toxic” singer decided to publicly shave her head in 2007. Shortly after, they learned a surprising detail about her relationship with the “Cry Me A River” singer.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake dated for only three years, from 1998 to 2002, but their relationship made many headlines at the time. The end of their relationship was subject to much debate, but no one could have ever guessed that Britney actually fell pregnant in late 2000.

According to TMZ, the "Baby One More Time" singer goes into detail about the decision in her upcoming memoir. She explained that she was not raised to even consider abortion as an option due to pressure from religion and her family. Although she wanted to give birth, she was reportedly “conflicted” about the possibility of raising a child out of marriage.

After an unfathomable amount of thought, Britney revealed that they both decided to get an abortion after some long, emotional discussions about the future of their relationship and what co-parenting might look like. Sources told the outlet that Britney thought their relationship was so serious that she wanted to marry him at the time, but ultimately, they went their separate ways.

Britney did not give birth to her first child, Sean Preston, until 2005, with her then-husband Kevin Federline. She welcomed Jayden James the following year. These are the pop star’s only two children. In 2022, months before she tied the knot with Iranian actor Sam Asghari, she took to Instagram to announce that she was pregnant but confessed that she had a miscarriage about a month later.

In an excerpt of "The Woman In Me," released by People magazine, Britney stated that she didn't think it was a "tragedy" that she became pregnant. “It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she wrote in her memoir. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."

"I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father," she continued, adding, “To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life."

It could be that the “Mirrors” singer knew that Britney might expose the unplanned pregnancy in her memoir, as a source told Page Six on Monday that the 42-year-old singer was “concerned” about what the Princess of Pop had to say about him in “The Woman In Me."

“He’s very curious what she’ll reveal from their relationship,” one source told the outlet. “It’s eating at him.” However, they went on to say, “This is Britney finally getting a chance to tell her empowering story and it’s nothing more than that.”

Last week, a different insider also told Us Weekly that Justin was “not going to be happy” with what Britney wrote in her memoir. They claimed that the “Overprotected” singer “goes after him hard.”

That being said, the insider also told the outlet that Britney was “excited but nervous” about the release of her memoir. “It’s not Britney’s intention to skewer anyone,” they said, adding, “She’s just going to relay the facts from her perspective.”

Although they tied the knot in June 2022, actor SamAsgharifiled for divorce from Britney Spears on August 16 citing “irreconcilable differences” for the split, according to court documents obtained by The Blast. Last week, when TMZ caught up to the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor, they asked if he was nervous” about what Britney might have said about him in her memoir.

Sam said that he “already read it” and said that he is “very proud of her.” He said that Britney “put a lot of work” into “The Woman In Me” and said that it was “very hard” for her to write it. He said that he was “definitely excited” for the release and repeated that he was “extremely proud of her.”

When asked if he was back in the dating pool amid the divorce, the 29-year-old actor said that he is “focused on work right now,” adding that he has been putting a lot of “work in stunt training and [doing] a lot of acting” amid the split.
