Jada Pinkett Smith is opening up about the very last regrettable words she spoke to her "soulmate" Tupac Shakur.

As it turned out, they weren't on speaking terms at the time of his passing, and Jada has now reflected on the "disgusting kiss" they shared many years ago.

Jada and Tupac's relationship has been a constant topic of discussion for decades and has recently been revised as the actress promotes her newly-released memoir, "Worthy."

Those feelings got revisited when the "Red Table Talk" co-host stopped over at Steven Bartlett's "The Diary Of A CEO" podcast. During their interaction, she was moved to tears when shown a picture of herself, Tupac, and their friend Maxine, who tragically died by suicide around the same time as the "Hit 'Em Up" hitmaker's death.

Jada and Tupac's deep connection began when they met in school, and according to her, it felt as if they had already known each other for years. Despite the duo's close bond, they never had a physical relationship, a fact that both they and their loved ones found perplexing.

Starting with a look-back on the time they attempted locking lips, the mother of two said, "Pac and I had a hard time understanding why we didn't have it and I [remember] being on the back porch of my house and we're having this discussion I'm like 'okay, Pac just kiss me.' And he kisses me and it's the most disgusting kiss between us both! I mean he pulled back and I pulled back and I was like 'see dummy!'"

She then divulged that they had maintained "this beautiful closeness that was really intimate but never physically intimate" for the duration of their relationship.

Although they didn't pursue a physical relationship, Tupac's bond with the Daytime Emmy Award winner was so strong that he proposed to her while serving a sentence in Rikers Island after being convicted of sexual abuse through a letter. Jada, however, declined his proposal but remained a part of his life until they had a major falling out following the "Changes" rapper's release from prison.

The 100% Women Productions founder detailed, "It was one of the biggest fights we ever had, and it was about how he had been living, you know."

She explained that she had to make her position clear about Tupac heading in an unacceptable direction. While her opinion led to a major, "beyond-the-two-of-us kind of clash," Jada decided that she was "not calling him this time" because he had gone too far.

"I let my pride, I let my ego come in. I really took for granted that he would be living forever, he had already survived so much. I looked at Pac as being invincible at this point. That was the last time I spoke to him and you know what's crazy, it meant absolutely nothing," the "All of Us" co-creator passionately shared while fighting back tears.

In less than a year, Tupac was tragically shot and killed at the young age of 25. The case remained unsolved for over a quarter of a century until Las Vegas investigators announced the arrest of Duane 'Keffe D' Davis.

Following the arrest of the 60-year-old, Jada took to her Instagram Story to express her hope for "closure, via a short message that read, "Now I hope we can get some answers and have some closure. R.I.P. Pac," alongside a white dove emoji.

Upon seeing the post, several people shared their own thoughts, with this person penning via X, "Can't even imagine my man sayin RIP to his dead ex girlfriend???? cause boy just go with her."

"I know people joke a lot about their relationship. But I know today was probably very emotional for her," a second person expressed, as a third chimed, "I'm glad she's at peace and can hopefully heal from it now."

Yet another observer noted, "Gotta be crazy to see your friend's death consistently on TV and online. Hope she [gets] the closure and [has] grieved. [I don't] think she ever got the chance."
