In an interview with People magazine to promote her new “Be An Icon” home collection, the “Stars Are Blind” singer said that she is “so proud” of the “Toxic” singer for “telling her story.” Paris, who has also released her own memoir, knows better than anyone how difficult it can be to relive the past.

"I know how hard it can be doing a memoir because you have to really dive in and think about so many moments in your life that I'm sure you don't even want to think about,” she said. "But it is truly such a healing experience, and writing my book has changed my life in so many ways.

“So I'm really hoping that she feels the same way with this,” she continued, adding, "I am just proud of what a strong woman she is.”

Actress Michelle Williams is also proud to be involved with Britney’s story. The five-time Oscar nominee has been tapped to narrate the audiobook version of “The Woman In Me.” Earlier this week, People magazine revealed that the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer will record the introduction herself. The rest of the memoir will be narrated by Michelle, which is just the way Britney wants it.

"This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Britney said in a short statement. “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.”

The audiobook will be released on October 24 at the same time as the print version. The highly anticipated memoir is being released through Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.

Jennifer Bergstrom, Gallery Books Senior Vice President and Publisher, told People magazine that “Britney’s compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery.”

She went on to say, "I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact — and will be the publishing event of the year. We couldn’t be more proud to help her share her story at last.”

According to a press release from Gallery Books, Britney’s memoir “illuminates the enduring power of music and love — and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.” The book promises to reveal “for the first time her incredible journey (and) strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.”

It goes on to say that her memoir is “a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.” The memoir will focus on her decades-long career in the entertainment industry, her relationship with her estranged family, her love life, and her controversial 13-year conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021.

Britney Spears Pens A Short Message To Her Fans

On Sunday afternoon, Britney released a short teaser video that read, “I actually envy the people who know how to make fame work for them. My demeanor was innocent – and it wasn’t an act. I didn’t know what I was doing.”

“It felt like I was living on the edge of a cliff,” the video continued. “I don’t want it to be real; this is just a dream. If you stood up for me when I couldn’t stand up for myself; from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

“No one knows what I really thought… until now,” the video concludes along with a snapshot of the book's cover. In the caption, she teased, “My story is yours October 24th…”
