This recent statement comes amid a storm of criticisms over her new memoir, where she dishes stunning details about her marriage to actor Will Smith.
Jada found herself at the center of controversy after claiming that she and Will had been separated for seven years, making many question the cause of the infamous 2022 Oscar slap.
Jada Pinkett Smith Admits Tupac Shakur Is Her 'Soulmate'
"Girls Trip" actress Jada Pinkett Smith spoke candidly about her relationship with late hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur during an interview with Rolling Out's Christal Jordan.
The mother of two, facing significant backlash over claims about her marriage to Will Smith in her memoir, Worthy, opened up about how she felt about Tupac.
During the interview, Jordan asked about Tupac and if she believed there could be a "soulmate friendship" that does not include the romantic.
To this question, Jada replied, "Absolutely! We have soulmates. Our children can be our soulmates. I think this kind of romanticized idea is like a 'soulmate.' There's all kinds of definitions of a soulmate."
She continued, "But yeah, you know, definitely," agreeing that she and Tupac were soulmates. "If there is such a thing as past lives, I definitely think 'Pac and I have traveled a few together. You know, in various forms," Jada added.

Still, during her chat with Jordan for Rolling Out, Smith cleared the air once again on claims that she and Tupac ever had a romantic relationship.
The actress, who has spoken several times over the years about her close bond with the rapper, noted that any romantic relationship with Tupac was impossible due to them having "no chemistry."
Jordan asked, "Has there ever been a time that you regretted the decision that you made not to take it to that level with him and to keep it in the friendship space?"
Jada replied, "It just wasn't possible; there was no chemistry between us." She added that the only kind of chemistry they had, which people may have seen between them, is the "friendship love chemistry."
She added, "Let me tell you, don't think that 'Pac and I, like I write in the book, we had those moments, and I wish I could get people to understand the repelling nature. It was almost like God made us that way."
"It was like, 'Look, I'mma put y'all together, y'all are gonna be a dynamic duo, but I'mma tell you right now, I'mma make it so y'all are not gonna be able to get together.' Cause that just wasn't the purpose," Jada said, insisting that it wasn't just her but that Tupac also didn't see a romantic connection ever forming between them.
Jada Pinkett Smith Reacts To The Arrest Of Tupac's Murder Suspect
Jada expressed a renewed hope for closure following recent news of an arrest concerning the murder of the legendary rapper in 1996.
Via her Instagram story, she shared her thoughts on the arrest of Duane Keith "Keffe D" Davis and the possibility of finding answers that have eluded her and many others for years.
"Now I hope we can get some answers and have some closure. R.I.P. Pac," she wrote after officials announced that Davis had been charged with murder with a deadly weapon in connection with the case.
Per NBC News, the indictment alleges that Davis was involved in the shooting and obtained a firearm "for the purpose of seeking retribution against" Tupac and Marion "Suge" Knight, the head of his record label, Death Row, and one Mob Piru. Although it didn't say Davis pulled the trigger, he and three other gang members allegedly conspired to kill the rapper "by acting in concert throughout."
Jada And Will Smith Have Been Separated For Seven Years
In a shocking turn of events, Jada made the bombshell claim that she and her husband, "I Am Legend" actor Will Smith, had been separated for seven years.
The "Red Table Talk" host made the revelation, which she also wrote about in her memoir, during a chat with Hoda Kotb on the "Today" show.
According to Jada, she and Will are still legally together as they have decided not to file for divorce but have been living separate lives.
Jada's shocking claim led to netizens bringing up the infamous Oscar slap in 2022, which saw Will climb up on stage to smack award presenter Chris Rock in the face over a "G.I Jane" joke about his "wife."
Jada herself has revealed that she had no idea what was going on when Will slapped Rock and thought it was all a skit until she saw her husband walk back towards her.
