Britney Spears Says Her Dog Snow Would Be ‘So Mad’ To See Her New Video

Pop star Britney Spears says that her new puppy, Snow, would be “so mad” to see her latest Instagram video!

It’s pretty clear that the 41-year-old Princess of Pop is pretty smitten with her new dog, Snow, who she introduced to Instagram just after her ex, actor Sam Asghari, filed for divorce on August 16 citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

On Tuesday night, the “Gimme More” singer couldn’t hold back her praise for her new furry friend, Snow. It’s unclear when she adopted the puppy, but it looks like it was relatively recently, considering how much Snow has grown since her first video of her canine companion that she posted at the end of August.

In the video, Britney is wearing a brown long-sleeve sweater, dark jeans, and brown knee-high boots along with her new signature black choker necklace. She is cuddling Snow in her arms as she cuddles her and strokes her fur. At one point, Snow jumps up on Britney’s chest to lick her face while the pop star’s gaze remains fixed on the camera lens in front of her.

In the caption of this Instagram post, Britney wrote, “She’s extremely tiny ?? !!! But she’s ferocious and she is the queen of the universe ????????????!!!! Psss !!! Swap to see the day before she was groomed !!! She likes to get extremely dirty and play outside !!! She starts to hop like a bunny so I have to let her play !!!”

“But her fur isn’t groomed here and she would be so mad at me if she knew I was posting this ???? !!! But who is to say dogs don’t have intelligent minds ???” she asked. “Most people prefer the intellect of cats … I get it !!! But honestly I feel like cats are smarta--es secretly !!! I can’t stand a smarta-- although I am one !!! I prefer dogs 100 percent !!!”

Comments on this Instagram post, like most of her recent Instagram posts, were disabled.

In late August, photographers caught the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor walking the couple's Doberman, Porsha, amid the split. The following day, TMZ reported that the former couple had come to an agreement on how to divide custody of their five dogs. Britney agreed to let Sam keep Porsha in the split, even though the Iranian actor had gifted the puppy to Britney as a gift a month after their 2021 engagement.

“Surprised my fiancé [sic] with our newest member to the Family. Porsha,” he wrote in the caption of an Instagram video at the time. “Her name is Porsha and she’s meant to unconditionally love you,” he continued, adding that the dog would “be trained to protect you from any motherf***er that comes around you with bad intentions.”

According to the agreement, Britney was allowed to keep the couple's four other dogs: her Australian Shepherd, Sawyer, her Yorkie, Hannah, her Maltese, Lulu, and another small dog. It is unclear if Snow, the dog that she finally introduced to Instagram a day later, was the fifth dog included in their custody agreement. The report also made no mention of Britney’s cat, Wendy, which Britney has not talked about for quite some time.

Britney first adopted Sawyer in February 2022, after the former couple went on a trip to Maui, Hawaii. The "Toxic" singer said she fell in love with the Australian Shepherd puppy and his bright blue eyes at first sight. “Geez …. Can you have two loves of your lives because he comes in second !!!! I’m introducing the new edition to my family … his name is Sawyer and he’s a white Australian shepherd with blue eyes !!!!!” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post at the time.

“I found him in Maui like a dream and took him home with me immediately. It’s funny … he doesn’t talk back but it’s like he understands what I’m saying !!!” Britney wrote at the time. “I think he understands me, especially with those eyes … he makes my heart melt … he needs me and I like that !!!”
