Jamie Lynn Spears Denies Dad Jamie Spears Is Living With Her

Sister Jamie Lynn Spears is denying that her father, Jamie Spears, is living with her following reports of his health scare.

The younger sister of Britney Spears recently left her home in Louisiana in order to compete in season 32 of "Dancing With The Stars" in Los Angeles and was supported by her mother, Lynne Spears. However, the "Zoey 101" star insists that her father was not staying with her husband and two daughters during that time.

On Saturday, the “Sweet Magnolias” actress took to her Instagram Stories to set the record straight after the Daily Mail claimed that Jamie Spears had been living in a guest house on her property in Hammond, Louisiana, with her husband, Jamie Watson, and two daughters.

“Literally, outside of work, the only ppl I see are the ppl I live with, & that only includes the hubs, Ivey, Maddie, 2 dogs, & 1 cat. lolz,” she wrote via Page Six alongside a quote that read “Nothing is more peaceful than having no interest in anyone.”

The Daily Mail report also alleged that Jamie Spears had spent the summer in rehab, although an insider told Page Six that there is no truth to that claim. Both Lynne Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears have been open about Jamie’s struggles with alcohol in their respective memoirs, however.

Last week, Page Six that Jamie Spears had been “hospitalized for weeks in a special infectious disease facility” after developing a “bad infection” that required the Spears patriarch to undergo surgery. One insider said that he was “severely ill” although he has since been seen out and about, wearing a hat, glasses, and a baggy tee shirt.

People magazine confirmed that Jamie Spears is “now in an infectious disease outpatient facility” to treat a bacterial infection and is “on the mend.” It appears that his recent health scare is unrelated to the time he was rushed to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas in November 2018. At the time, reports indicated that he became “seriously ill” when his colon “spontaneously ruptured” and required him to spend 28 days in the hospital.

“After a long, complicated post-operative period, he is recuperating at home and gaining strength, and is expected to make a full recovery,” a statement from the Spears family said at the time.

Britney also released her own statement at the time, saying, “I am dedicating my focus and energy to care for my family,” adding, “We have a very special relationship and I want to be with my family at this time just like they have always been there for me.”

Two months later, she took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce that her Las Vegas residency, Domination, would be postponed while her father was recovering.

“It’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make,” she wrote in January 2019, as per the outlet. “A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him.”

Many fans are wondering what the Princess of Pop wrote about her father in her upcoming memoir, “The Woman In Me.” The bombshell memoir is scheduled to be released on October 24, 2023. Last weekend, a source told Page Six that fans will have a lot of empathy for the pop star after reading her book. One insider said, “You read some of her family history in the book and you think ‘Oh my God, that poor girl.’”

A source for Jamie Spears insinuated that Jamie might contest some of Britney’s allegations in the book, saying, “It’s going to be really interesting to read the book. I’m not sure how the publishers could even fact-check most of it. Britney has been seriously unwell in the past.”

Meanwhile, the insider went on to say that they “don’t think” that Lynne or Jamie Lynn “will be upset” by the memoir, adding, “I think they will think it’s fair.”
