Tim McGraw Recalls 'The Very First Time' To Mark 27th Wedding Anniversary With Faith Hill

Country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary on October 6.

Their enduring love story began with a whirlwind courtship and several proposals before they walked down the aisle in 1996. The lovebirds, parents to three grown daughters, Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey, continue to inspire with their strong relationship and serve as a model for couples everywhere.

Nearly two months after McGraw expressed that his Love for Hill has deepened with each passing year, and he can't imagine it any other way, he has reiterated the message. In celebration of their anniversary, the 56-year-old country star posted a heartfelt tribute to his wife using two throwback images.

In the first photo, both superstars are seen smiling from ear to ear as McGraw paired what appeared like a red v-neck jacket with a white round-neck tee and black cowboy hat. His partner donned a seemingly white outfit and a necklace with a cross pendant, with her vibrant curly hair flowing down her shoulders.

For the second slide, viewers see the pair in a black-and-white picture featuring the singers in different outfits. Beneath the shots, the record producer wrote: 

"This is the very first picture ever taken of us, the very first time we ever met back in spring of 1994. This was backstage of the "New Faces" show at the Country Radio Seminar......I fell for you in an instant!  Today is our 27th wedding anniversary and I fall for you everyday, every time you walk into the room, every time I see you in our 3 beautiful daughter's smiles. I just keep falling and always will.  Happy anniversary my love!"

Within just a few hours of sharing the post, it has become a favorite amongst fans, garnering over 52k likes and thousands of comments. Alluding to them being "couple goals," one fan's lengthy comment began:

"Your love story was EPIC from the very beginning. No words can explain how magically intoxicating it has been for all of us to see."

They added, "Just the way you two look at each other ... from it's your Love to 1883... it's breathtaking. Thank you for letting us all share in that, hope for that, and dream of that kind of Love. Happy anniversary @thetimmcgraw and @faithhill We love you."

Following the same theme, this person also penned, "We were "with" you on that journey. Watching it all go down. It was awesome. What's even better is that you worked through the tough times & made it work out all these years. Happy 27th Anniversary!" 

"Happy Anniversary Tim and Faith. What a blessing your marriage has been and inspiring. God bless you all," a third commenter gushed, "Sweet!! Happy Anniversary, you two love birds!! Wishing you many more years of your Love."

A fourth Instagram user claimed, "I remember this picture and I remember being so happy for you! I've been probably your biggest fan since way before this pic! Happiest Anniversary to you two! XO."

McGraw and Hill initially met in 1994 at a gig in Nashville. However, both were involved with other people at the time. Luckily, fate brought them back together two years later, and their love story began to unfold.

While many major entertainment stars have had problems working together, these two have figured out their way and held things down for decades. Talking about their work style to PEOPLE, Hill had crowned her man "the big dreamer," which prompted him to respond, "Then she has to do all the details, come in and clean up my mess." 

Earlier this year, the oldest Hill-McGraw brood had a social media run-in with a troll. Despite dealing with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which she has been open about, Gracie has achieved a slimmer figure.

While the 26-year-old has often shared her progress on Instagram, one critic used the opportunity of her posting bikini pics of herself to criticize her for using the diabetes medication Ozempic to help with her weight loss.

Amid a flurry of praises, one Instagram user slammed her for not including the drug in her caption, which read, "It's a gorgeous day for narcissism!" "And Ozempic!" the critic exclaimed in the comment section.

Without batting an eyelid, Gracie responded, "I did use Ozempic last year, yes. I am now on a low dose of Mounjaro for my PCOS and working out. No need to accuse when I have been open about it."
