Ever since the finale of "The Ultimate Fighter", UFC fans have been waiting for the Michael Chandler vs Conor McGregor matchup inside the Octagon.
Chandler has been open the fight, even calling out McGregor for dodging the matchup and for "wasting time".
Now, it seems the 37-year-old is ready to move on as he is now calling out Nate Diaz.
Michael Chandler Says Conor McGregor Is 'Trolling'
When the UFC signed Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor to go up against one another as opposing coaches on season 31 of "The Ultimate Fighter," the plan was to book a fight between the two in 2023. Rumors have been circulating stating that a fight will happen in December, however, neither Chandler nor McGregor have confirmed that.
The 37-year-old recently spoke out on The MMA Hour, calling out Conor McGregor for wasting everyone's time with their supposed matchup in December.
“There are some moments where I’m like, is Conor really coming back?” Chandler admitted on The MMA Hour. “You know? Is he just trolling us all? Is he a real fighter anymore, is he a real fighter?"
Michael Chandler is tired of waiting for 'The Notorious' and instead, wants to fight a "real fighter" -- Nate Diaz. "Then, you think about who’s a real fighter, Nate Diaz is a real fighter. I’m a real fighter," Chandler added.
Michael Chandler 'Respects The Hell' Out Of Nate Diaz
Chandler went on to say he respects Nate Diaz and that is why he would love to go up against him in the cage.
“Now, obviously, people are going to come out and throw shade like ‘Why are you talking about fighting him you don’t care about the title, blah, blah,’," he said before adding, "But, Diaz has always been a guy I wanted to fight. Not because I don’t like him, but because I respect the hell out of him, and I think it would be a lot of fun.”
“I would love to get smacked and flipped off by him in the cage, that would be fun," Chandler concluded.
Jake Paul Defeats Nate Diaz In Boxing Match
Nate Diaz has not been seen since his boxing fight against Jake Paul a few months ago.
Paul beat Diaz in a unanimous decision in the boxing match in August, but after the win, the YouTuber turned-boxer has nothing but respect for Nate Diaz. "He's a warrior," Paul said in his postfight interview. "I had him in the first round. He kept on coming. No one has taken that much damage. All credit to my team and my conditioning."
Paul then challenged Diaz to an MMA fight, however, there has been no word on if that really is happening.
Nate Diaz's Street Fight With Logan Paul's Team
The UFC fighter first chucked a water bottle at Netflix reality series star Chase DeMoor at a Misfits Boxing event a few months ago, but that is not the incident he was wanted for. After the event, Diaz was caught in an altercation with a young man who seemingly looked like Logan Paul, which ended after Diaz choked the guy out.
After an arrest warrant went out for Nate Diaz in April, but turned himself in shortly after. According to the records, Diaz was booked at 7:40 AM on a charge of second-degree battery, but he was released on bail.
