Nate Diaz turned himself into the New Orleans Police Department early Wednesday morning, just days after an arrest warrant was issued for him following a viral video showing Diaz involved in an altercation with a young man who seemingly looked like Logan Paul, which ended after Diaz choked the guy out and left him lying on the street. The former UFC fighter remained in custody for just a few hours before posting bail.

Following his release, the 38-year-old posted to social media, expressing his thoughts on the situation.

Many fans of the UFC and of Nate Diaz have been supporting the 38-year-old by using the hashtag #FreeNateDiaz, claiming Diaz choked the man out in self-defense, and that the video on social media does not show the entire altercation.

After posting bail and being released from custody, a judge allowed him to resume travel, per TMZ, and it seems that is exactly what the former UFC fighter is doing.

Not only did Diaz repost a photo to his Instagram Story from Fiyyaz Pirani, one of Pirani and himself on a plane that reads "taking on the world with @natediaz209", but also a photo that reads #FreeNateDiaz.

Nate Diaz's rep, Zach Rosenfield, told TMZ, "Nate voluntarily turned himself into the New Orleans Police Department this morning approximately at 7:10 AM CT. We continue to look forward to presenting all the evidence and videos that show Nate was acting in self-defense."

Diaz posted bail a few hours later. "We appreciate how we were treated by the New Orleans Police Department, the court and their staff," Rosenfield said.

Nate Diaz also shared an Instagram post to his Feed yesterday. The photo was a black and white one of himself in his UFC trunks, using the caption "Off to the next episode money to get".

Nate Diaz is still expected to take on Jake Paul in a boxing match at American Airlines Arena in Dallas on August 5, and he plans to return to the UFC, which could be what the Instagram post is referring to.

According to ESPN, “The [Nate Diaz vs Jake Paul] event will be a 50-50 collaboration between Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions and Diaz’s Real Fight Inc. It will be the first time Diaz has promoted himself, the first time he will fight outside the UFC in 15 years, and his first career pro boxing match. Diaz has competed in some of the biggest pay-per-view events in UFC history, and Paul has made a name for himself as a boxing draw despite his experience level.”
